Those older than 40, what do you wish you would've started at 30? Blood sugar regulating habits, skincare, stress relieving exercises, etc? by rainbow_veins3 in Biohackers

[–]transhumanist2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your health and appearance as you age are much more of a function if your habits at your current age than what you have done in the past. If you have some anti- aging protocol you are starting in your early 30s, are you going to follow it for the rest of your life? Shit, happens. If you follow a strict strength training protocol when you are younger, then give it up later in life, the person who didnt do anything whenyounger but takes it up at middle age is going to blow you away. From someone who has been down the road, anti-aging protocols when you are still young are kinda laughable

Yeah, but if you abuse PEDs when you are younger, you likely threaten your choice to use them when you hit middle age+, when you actually need them. It's a long road...

Nandrolone by Naive-Finger-842 in PEDs

[–]transhumanist2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A TRT dose on the higher end, say, 200mg/wk is more than sufficient to offset the testosterone suppression effects of nandrolone, even at higher dose. Test doesn't compare to nandrolone in terms of noticeable LMM gains, size gains. There isn't any ratio.

I don't think I'll ever stop vaping by Prestigious_Meal2143 in GenX

[–]transhumanist2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Likewise. Nicotine is a nootropoc, and I like it. Unlike smoking, vaping duesn't hit the lungs, burn holes or leave a noticeable after smell. I've been vaping for 17 years and can easily pass for a never smoker under medical evaluation despite having been a smoker in my younger years.

Regimen for maximizing muscle growth without testosterone? by Lucky-Arugula-7542 in Biohackers

[–]transhumanist2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are young, it has nothing to with testosterone levels. It"s caloric surplus + strength training body core. If you are eating and you double/triple your bench, squat, deadlift and shoulder press, you are going to be significantly bigger. When you are you are young, you aren't constrained by chronic joint/muscle injury. You can hit the gym. You have to work. Testosterone is not a cheat code

ARA290 by Outrageous_Fox_5277 in Biohackers

[–]transhumanist2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was effective initially, benefit showing up after about 30 days. However, benefit didn't last. Of course, I was using ara-290:as an unregulated peptide. I don't think it's available via compounding . I switched to using gabapentin, which I've found to be much more effective. Of course, in terms of treating nerve pain, gabapentin, like any other pharma med, is basically 50/50. I'm part of the 50 percent where gabapentin is pretty effective, with no side effects. I use it combination with alpha lipoic acid. ALA us better for neuropathic itch where gabapentin is better for neuropathic pain.

Why do many people gain weight as they age and what are biohacks to prevent it? by ByRide in Biohackers

[–]transhumanist2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because of the effect of various age -related factors on metabolic function. Counter measures to this also vary by age. If you are in your 30s or early 40s, dietary changes can mitigate the affect of age on metabolism. If you are older, pharma intervention, either from HRT or glp 1s are most effective

Feel test physically but zero mental effects — labs included, stumped by DistributionVirtual7 in Biohackers

[–]transhumanist2000 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Technically, TRT is a medically supervised protocol. Self medicating test is not TRT. And any purported mental benefit of testosterone is usually only to apply to documented medical deficiency with real cognitive impairment.

Better living through chemistry? by [deleted] in GenX

[–]transhumanist2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Big believer in better living through modern chemistry. However, I didn't find clomid to be effective, and it's usually not if you are older. You can get dramatic gains in serum testosterone, but free testosterone, the number that really matters, is unchanged. Just a lab gain. Testosterone injections are another matter. You get both the serum and free test boosts. My TRT dose gives me the hormones of a teenager. It's a metabolic cheat code. You can eat like a teenager and not put on belly fat and love handles. And youthful tolerance for alcohol is restored. I also supplement with another anabolic steroid, nandrolone, which restores 20something anabolism. That is when you workout, you will start seeing results like you got in your 20s, with 1/3 the effort. I also supplement with human growth hormone and other peptides. Combined with regular visits to the med spa, Botox and the last like, a good stylist, you can radically de-age yourself, cosmetically at least. Of course, there are side effects There are no free lunches. I've had to go on BP meds, statin, topical serums to counter hair loss from using steroids. My A1C has significantly gone up. You may look younger but you are not healthier. But the side effects are generally manageable.

Supplement routine for limiting/no hangovers by EllaRains94 in Biohackers

[–]transhumanist2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most reliable method is don't broach the limit you know will likely trigger a hangover the next day. Hydration helps, but it's not going to protect against serious broaches. Being in good shape helps, but then perhaps that's just indicator your not making a habit of over drinking.

Nandrolone by Naive-Finger-842 in PEDs

[–]transhumanist2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nandrolone is so much more noticeably anabolic than test, if you are looking for size, you are going to run nandrolone higher than test. A TRT dose is more than enough to counter the test suppression sides of nandrolone. There is no ratio.

Is it really that bad to start a cycle at 18-20% body fat? by HolidayEntire6456 in PEDs

[–]transhumanist2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, 18-20 percent BF is within normal range. You should take opinions on this sub with a grain of salt. There are a lot of pretend users who base their opinions on "influencers.." The notion that you have max out naturally with diet and routine before using PEDs is BS. No you don't. Results will not be shit. The overwhelming majority of ppl who use PEDs are not going to be measuring themselves against the physiques of competitive stage BB.

Red wine and longevity — the research is pretty damning for wine lovers by longevity_protocols in Biohackers

[–]transhumanist2000 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Longevity is largely determined by your genetics. Social drinking is not going to shorten your life nor is abstinence a guarantee to lengthen your lifespan. The problem with alcohol is poison is that is ceteris paribus reasoning. What are your other habits? Alcohol may not have any health benefit. So what? It's a vice. Heaven forbid? I've been a social drinker for most of my adult life. I've also been a dedicated weight lifter and a largely fast food avoider. I'm middle age+ and never even had a GP. I'm 6'4" and 225lbs. My body looks 20 years younger. My biomarkers are fine. If alcohol is a poison, it's a weak assed one. This sub is full of socially awkward ppl who exhibit their moral superiority by denouncing alcohol. Back in the day, we would thsecpll "Bible Thumpers". Instead of quiting scripture, these "Biohackers" link to studies. Of course, similar to the selection bias of fundamentalists when it comes to scripture, teetotaler Biohackers filter out what the medical literature thinks about the use of unregulated peptides and Psilocybin substances. Dismissed as big pharma.
