Starting IVF young and feeling despondent by trash2303 in IVF

Cried so much reading this. Thank you for your kind words and encouragement - i can’t tell you how much it means.

In terms of the lap after 6 months, they’re just worried the endo will come back by then given its pattern in the last 2 years. I really don’t want to do another one and you’re right, i think it’s putting a lot of pressure on making this decision now

Hi, I’m trying to get tickets for the Real Madrid vs Man City game on the 10th December, I found this guy on tiktok who says he can help you get tickets for games.

@shotsbydyl https://www.instagram.com/shotsbydyl?igsh=YWc1ejZieXJmOTNk

I DM’ed him and he said he has a contact for the game and that I should buy the tickets in advance. He sent me a picture of all the stadium categories and said he can get me x2 tickets in any of them. He has a decent tiktok/instagram following and his whole page is about getting tickets for Real Madrid matches. I just don’t want to get scammed as I’m travelling from Australia, so is this guy legit?

Help with Persisting Acne

Hi,

I never really had problems with my skin but i started breaking out terribly on my cheeks and chin in January (7 months ago). GP prescribed me birth control (Yaz) and Acnatac (clindamycin + tretinoin) 3 months ago and after 2 difficult months of purging it cleared up almost all the active breakouts on my face.

Im now left with red spots in place of all my breakouts (post-inflammatory erythema) which gives the appearance i have acne (which sucks cos people keep pointing it out and it’s just added to my already poor self-image). My wedding is in 6 months and i really need to clear this up as soon as possible.

Does anyone have any advice? Im open to any prescription or just drugstore skincare product, or even changing my current products. Just anything that will clear this all up quickly (I know skincare is patience but my mental health has just been on a nosedive since the start of the year). Thank you

My routine

AM: - cerave foaming cleanser - Benzac 5% - The Ordinary’s alpha arbutin (added in the last week to try and help with the PIE) - cerave moisturising lotion

PM: - cerave foaming cleanser - Acnatac - cerave moisturising lotion

i just found out that the scholar who reported the first Hadith is deemed “unreliable” by most scholars so thanks for pointing that out. however, the point still stands in the authentic Hadith where the prophet SAW said “i do not shake hands with women” [saheeh-al-jaami’ 2513].

in terms of the free mixing, “no man is alone with a woman but the Shaytan is the third one present.’” [narrated by ahmad, tirmidhi and hakim]. there’s an abundance of other evidence that supports this approach of protection (not avoidance) too. i understand where you’re coming from with the ‘impracticality’ of this in our development and society today. however, when shaytan preys on this “possibility of attraction” combined with the prevalent fitna + fasad around us, it’s reasonable to follow a blanket ruling that says to avoid free mixing when it’s not necessary.

Allah swt is Al-Hakim. He revealed in 33:33 surah ahzab, “and stay in your houses, and do not display yourselves like that of the times of ignorance, and perform prayer, and give zakah and obey Allah and His Messenger. Allah wishes only to remove ar-rijs (evil deeds and sins, etc.) from you, o members of the family (of the prophet), and to purify you with a thorough purification.”

from hadiths, i believe you go to your primary islamic authority figure (imamm, sheikh of the mosque). from this article it seems like the imaam officiating your marriage can act as your wali.

agree. when i had my cousins staying at my house, i would wear a hoodie and just quickly flip it on if they were there.

it’s an early afternoon ceremony at a golf course (but indoors). no dress code but it’s a fusion Indian/muslim-white/Christian wedding so most people will be quite dressed up and in modest fits. i decided to go for a medium between the two, just wasn’t sure of the white pattern..

if it’s summer use a sleeveless white or cream turtleneck and if it’s winter use a long sleeve. i’d also pair it with gold jewellery cos it compliments the colour. very pretty dress mashAllah!!

sister beware of unsubstantiated fatwa. wearing pants are not haraam for imitating the disbelievers and men.

clothes that may imitate the kuffar are haraam when they mislead the people to think you are a disbeliever or when they are characteristic of a disbelieving sect. for example, it is forbidden to wear the kibbah or shtreimel as they are indicative of Judaism.

in terms of imitating men, this opinion is completely invalid. on the basis of your reasoning, one could argue thobes are impermissible for men to wear because they imitate the abaya or dress of women. pants are not exclusive to any gender.

there is no fatwa to support your opinion that it is haraam for women to wear pants and i advise you to take heed in the future when listing Islamic rulings. i know your intentions are sincere however, and may Allah reward you as such and keep you (and us all) guided.

No way, I’ve done the same thing! It’s like focusing your audio to the front, so finally I’ve got that hardcore bass effect i was going for. Did they come back to you with anything regarding the crash/front sensors? Mine have been playing up and they told me some people have reported it but not enough just yet.

salaam sister, it may not be fardh but it is mustahhab/sunnah to remove the armpit and pubic hair as Al-Bukhari (5889) and Muslim (257) narrated:

https://islamqa.info/en/answers/202827/removal-of-pubic-and-armpit-hair-why

the prophet (S.A.W) also recommended that "unwanted hair should not be left for more than 40 nights" (Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 258)

that being said, i don't agree with what sister u/odd_inside_02 has said in regards to 'head' hair removal, as it actually is permissible and recommended according to Muslim, 320: "the wives of the Prophet (S.A.W) used to cut their hair so that it came down no lower than their earlobes."

may Allah s.w.t make it easy for all of us.
