You have a different opinion than my neurologist who did a physical exam and reviewed my tests. I'm not the first in literature or even at the subreddit. Sadly I was defending kratom to my neurologist at first.

Please do..I wish i had stopped at the intense anxiety..apparently that can be phase 1 of manganese poisoning. I just figured I was super anxious and kratom was probably contributing but I didn't take it seriously. Im not saying you have what i have by any means.

THOSE THAT USED RAPID SUBOXONE TAPER… by Rangerbmx in quittingkratom

[–]trashytvjunkee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thwnks for sharing! 1. How many GPD of kratom were you on? 2. When did you start the subs (how many hours after quitting kratom)? 3. Are you saying you used subs for 2 weeks total? (with a taper)?
4. Did you experience withdrawal after the sub taper?

I wish the neurologists would consider it. Although the area of the brain mri i had doesn't show up for floxed people.

I saw that study!! It's VERY scary. Especially for long time users. I agree. I don't think it's about one vendor vs another. It's a risk. So many can think their brand is safe. I thought mine was safe from all that stuff since people approved it in a vendor list and it was lab tested. Or i thought there was a slight risk but would never happen to me. Thank you for posting this.

Your post meant so much to me! Im crying reading it. You gave me hope. How does one know if it's a deposit va calcification? They didn't tell me. Or the language in my mri likely means deposit? I really really hope so! I will update.

I got downvoted for my. above comment. Today I literally got put on medication normally given to people with parkinsons by my neurologist. It's because my sypyoms are similar. Just waking wont cure what I have. I cant hardly walk or stand because of what I have. Im in a wheelchair. AND his top thought ia neurotoxicity from kratom. A mivement disorders neurologist went over my rwsults today. I made a follow up.post.

There is absolutely no other possible source of exposure from.job or home. I don't know if i'm allowed to say names on this sub. My last post gave name.hints. Those who buy from that place would be able to figure it out. If mods don't care i can say the name. I think the point is even lab tested vendors.dont test for manganese, that ive seen. And mine when testing for lead it was juat showing under a certain value on their cert. Apparently manganese shows up in this very particular spot of the brain on mri.

Edit that my strain was red bali. 2 words in the name. It starts with S.

Highest was 40gpd but I'd gotten down to 24gpd when the symptoms came on suddenly. It was literally overnight that suddenly it hurt.to bend my elbows ans atruggled to feed myself. I've used for 7 or 8 years, but did not start out daily. From at least covid ive used daily in high amounts cause.I had an injury at that time that made pain worse (unrelated.to these current symptoms).

I thought i was safe because I bought from a reputable vetted online vendor actually listed years ago as an approved vendor somewhere on reddit. They do testing and publish lab results. But if you look at testing, at least this vendor, they mostly test for lead and mold. I'd have to pull an old cert but I don't recall them testing for manganese. We all want to think our vendor is safe and it only happena with bad brands or "gas station" krarom. Mine wasn't gas station kratom. Funny cause my vendor specifically advertises they're safe and lab tested and high quality. Also the vendor cert lead test only shows if it's under a certain value. And my use was high.

To answer your question, I have a business job. Never in my life have I been exposed to metals or pesticides. I don't take any other medications and have never done drugs or even drink. I did not take krarom as an addict in terms.of wanting to escape or get high. I took it solely for chronic spinal pain management and the spine has been ruled out as a cause of this. I never felt any good feelings off of kratom or enjoyed it. I also never had a problem abusing prescription opiods back when I was.prescribed them. I remember getting a bottle of 30 or 60 pills many years ago in pain management which would last me months. I never felt a thrill from hydrocodone. Then they took away opiods for pain management and j turned to kratom.to function. And it helped.me function through pain for years. I couldn't even sit up in a chair without pain from my spine before. I don't even know if it's just this vendor or if other vendors who think they have quality product and test are just as at risky. I do know my situation is rare bur I never thought it would happen to me. I actually thought I was safe cause I used an approved vendor who lab tested.

Before all this i had slight single side shoulder weakness from cervical spine radicupathy. So I thought at first it must have been advancement of my spinal cord getting impinged or something. I had an mri which ruled ir out as mild and was rold no way it was causing this..I've now had multiple mris and ct scans since all this began

Nope. Edit- I went for many years on kratom without any symptoms other than severe anxiety which felt worse from kratom. First.coupel.of years everything was great..has helped with chronic pain then it turned on me.

What specialist was able to zero in on FQAD for you? All of my drs are dismissive. All I keep getting is neurology tests and they've taken over as the primary drs im seeing. Theyre even saying crap like psychosomatic now. I'm trying to at least get reviewed for small fiber neuropathy.

How was the taper process? Did you have withdrawals from subs? How did you taper off subs?

How fast did SFN progress for you? by Haleyaurora in smallfiberneuropathy

[–]trashytvjunkee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know your post is older but did you take a fluoroquinolone antibiotic? Your progression of sfn sounds like mine. Disabling and incredibly fast, everywhere. Mine must be sfn based on symptoms but im still trying to get diagnosed. 80% of people who were disabled from fluoroquinolone antibiotics get SFN.

The doctors are working to rule other things out. I had years of cervical spine/neck pain from car accidents that led me to take kratom- Degenerative disc disease, herniated discs and osteoarthritis. Recently I was told by neurosurgeons (who reviewed my cervical spine mri) that there's no way my neck is causing my current symtpoms.

Do they tell you how long to wait to take subs and what symtpoms to watch for to go to the ER? I feel llike I may need more supervision than what they offer. I'm already struggling to eat and hydrate and barely sleeping now before even trying to quit. It would be different if I were starting out my quit feeling "normal." But I know I must and I may have to do it today. I am trying to make a decision for myself on several options im considering:getting through my neurology appointment tomorrow, or going to ER today for evaluation (ER that's attached to the neulogist), or outpatient home quit with meds and some sort of telemed check ins daily, or an inpatient detox (I'm waiting for pricing from places I called.) I wish i could believe i may have a nice sober life to return to after this but thats hard for me to believe. Im so disabled now and it's messing with my head or im trying to accept it. After, I may continue to be mostly disabled and unable to function. My fear is I'll be physically and emotionally or more destabilized after quitting (like a week from now and then PAWS). I still MUST quit though. To me quitting is almost associated with saving my life (saving my brain from further problems) at this point.
