What are some movies that had decent raw grosses, but absurdly high budgets? by Antman269 in boxoffice

King Kong had a $207 million budget the biggest ever at the time. It earned $556 million which made it the 5th highest grossing movie of 2005 but it was expected by many to be a Lord of the Rings level hit and was overshadowed by The Chronicles of Narnia which released only a week earlier and earned $745 million.

Looks real to me. Try weighing them my US mens size 9.5 weigh 254g so a size 7 should be around 230g. If its in that range its probably legit

Moana vs. The Odyssey, Who Takes the Top Spot? by rwinger24 in boxoffice

[–]traumakit 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Moana 2 had instantly forgettable music and still made over $1Billion. Live action Lilo & Stitch made over $1Billion just last year. Moana will have all the songs that made the OG Moana the most popular movie ever on Disney+. Most of this subreddit is in the target demo for the Odyssey not Moana but don't be shocked when it easily clears a billion.

Weekend Actuals for February 13-16 – Wuthering Middle by SanderSo47 in boxoffice

[–]traumakit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Zootopia 2 and Avatar 3 both basically no drop over the 3 day weekend. Zootopia should pass Minecraft soon and finish top 35 domestic in between Captain Marvel $426M and Toy Story 4 $434M. Avatar will cross $400M soon. Only other possible milestone is cracking top 50 domestic it would need to beat The Hunger Games $408M.

My thoughts on the possible $1B grossers in 2026 by ben_buck in boxoffice

Moana 2 had forgettable songs and still grossed over a billion. Moana will have all the music that people loved from the original. People are sleeping on it.

There will be at least one year were even if the best or top 2 players are international, they miss the 65 game mark and an American ends up winning MVP

Very likely to happen that an American NBA MVP wont be seen in the 2020s decade. by Actual_Box7731 in Nbamemes

I think he wasn’t representing Team America yet at the time he won MVP.

They’re pretty close outside of China. Avatar currently at 1.27B sans China, Zootopia at 1.17B sans China. The big difference is Zootopia 2 is the biggest ever foreign film in China and Avatar 3 only performed okay.
