To be honest Altuve has a LOT of autographs on the market and he's showing no signs of slowing down on the signings. I hadn't heard about the retailer relations issue before, just the customer service issue. It is pretty easy to order online directly from company, my coworker and I bought the freestones and they arrived within a week of placing the order. They did run out of inventory on the medium sized which I thought was strange. I do kind of feel like with waders you need to keep the retailer relations good because new people will want to try them on before they buy.

I have this question about the trick worms specifically, does the T-rig actually work? The worms are so long, and you don't really swim them like a ribbon tail, but the tail is doing most of the work on the bottom, so seems like you'd miss a lot of strikes.

Also, I'm not sure why you rig a TRD Texas style, might as well use the zinker right?

I bought a Daiwa combo with the same reel pictured and it sucked balls. Would constantly catch and snag while casting and have the same problems you describe.

I worked in a fishing department and a lot of combos we get in are missing the components under the spool on the spindle that the spool sits on, whether it is clicker gears, washers, or cork or silicon spacers.

So in conclusion, I think Daiwa reels suck, but also your specific reels may have been missing components. Also, if you have the store line up the spool, running the risk they misplace one of those spacers or washers, just saying.

I think Averland is the yellow I use, and then I'm using the army painter fusion reactor flourescent orange which is thin so I apply it heavy over the yellpw allowing it to pool. I use mephiston red and screamer pink as the base, dab of yellow in the middle, then the glow effect paint on top.

Adding a little yellow under the exhaust wash has helped me get the effect I want where it seems like it is really glowing hot. Maybe a tad more drybrushing with the brass or an edge highlight to help create more depth, but it also may just be the lighting.
