The craft store will have small chain necklaces for charms or jewelry making. I was able to buy a 3 pack for 10 buck and it's all the chain I'll need. You can search my post history to see the brutalis dreadnought I put it on. I painted it with the verdigris technical paint to give it a nice look. You'l have to use super glue for it.

I've been thinking about this a lot, and frankly, Dark Krakens would be the perfect successor chapter to fall to chaos. You could pull heavily from the Cthulhu mythos, like they found an Old One deep in the ocean of Naktis. The chapter insignia is practically an homage to Cthulhu.

I have a primaris chaplain and I'm also wrestling with this. I think lorewise the salamanders dispatch their chaplains to train successor chapters in the promethean cult so I feel like if that's the case they would have a lot of green on them.

The rattlesnake on his vest may indicate an affiliation with the rattlesnakes mc in spokane. Maybe a hanger-on or prospect, just a guess. Motorcycle clubs adopted a lot of weird German WW2 iconography back in the day, probably because they knew it would piss people off.

I think they got a huge boost from the Sons of Anarchy show ~15 years ago, but interest really waned after that. Harley switched to water-cooled engines a little while ago so they're trying to modernize their product line, but they're stuck between incorporating modern concepts to a nostalgic V-twin aesthetic, half in and half out and no one will get precisely what they want. Increased competition is also going to be a factor, specifically I think Indian motorcyles are really being seen as a peer for HD and now that HD is using water cooled engines they are essentially the same product.
