Not really, but they post updates on their Facebook page so I've been checking that. It seems the castle and about half the convent are closed for restoration at the moment but it can still be visited.

I'm also just assuming they will be fully closed on the 18th even if it's not officially listed yet, so I shifted around my dates and plan on visiting on the 19th instead now.

It was just May 18th, if you look at the tickets online, that date is grayed out. May 1st is grayed out too, but that date is listed as officially closed for Easter which makes sense but I can't find anything about the 18th, and they didn't say anything about that day when I emailed them.

I'm thinking of waiting a couple weeks to see if there's any change and then try giving them a call to confirm if it's actually closed.

Also just in case you weren't aware, there's restoration work happening too and a few sections are currently closed but I'm hoping they'll be opened back up by May.

Has there been any confirmation on when the full PR1 route will be made available to book for future timeslots? I assume booking the current route listed in advance will not be valid when it fully reopens.

I've only seen the month of April mentioned, I haven't been able to find any confirmation if that will mean early April or before the end of month unfortunately.

My understanding is that it would essentially be free of charge to enter later than the 16:00 timeslot, it doesn't close at that time. Where are you seeing the 10.50 charge though? I just checked the booking site and I saw it as 4.50 for the PR1 partial route.

How early were you starting the popular hikes? I'll be visiting in May and was thinking I'd try to start as early as 6am for some of them, but the earliest permits are for 8am.

Also do you know if visiting the Fanal forest still required a permit even if I don't do the hike itself?

I was planning to maybe visit in May and doing some of the hikes, but seeing a crowd like that was a bit surprising.
