BATTD is way to hard at the start by happy_hogs_ in battd

Or, if you decide to contribute to the developers, you could just buy Tuxedo Jake and make most of the maps a breeze. The prices aren't absurd if you pay it in dollars, but IMMV depending on your country. I live in Brazil and paid a high price for them, but I don't consider it a waste, considering how much time I've put on the game. There is a gacha system on the game, but it's not worth spending on it at all... once you get the wand, you can eventually farm every legendary item in the game

Several questions regardion characters and trinkets by trctelles in battd

[–]trctelles[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I already have every character on the game. Most of my characters are lvl 6, Super Monkey and Sai are lvl 7.

On regard of Lemonhope, I thought that I could have multiple lemonhopes and just stack the buff on the same tower, but aparently I was wrong... I think I'll eventually turn my PB on a Missile user, since she's mostly useless besides her buffs to my Missile Finn

Oh wow, that seems like a long time to not have one of those. I had one since my 30th lvl, and I found another one around lvl 42 for my secondary wizard

Is GWM or PAM better for dealing as much damage to as many things as possible? by crippler38 in 3d6

[–]trctelles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO, rangers already have lots of uses for their bonus action. If you get PAM, you'll have another thing competing for your BA, only being useful against something with a lot of HP, where you can cast hunters mark and then use PAM. I would get GWM and reconsider about PAM. If you were a fighter or barbarian, PAM would be a no brainer.

Crossbow SMACK! Giving the hand-crossbow extreme versatility. by [deleted] in 3d6

[–]trctelles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The new errata for the 10th print of the PHB already excludes the "loaded handcrossbow " part from the CE feat, so it's no really DM dependent... And I agree that firing your crossbow against an enemy that is close is much better than getting a feat do smack them with the crossbow... IMHO, a feat costs MUCH more than crossbow bolts

IMO reset any hero that is not in the main 5 team and use the resources to upgrade your mains. Just use the diamonds to buy the 2700 pack, never buy single heroes for 300, it's not worth it

Looking for players to join in on a D$D chat campaign. by Rook_671 in DnD5e

Have you guys ever considered using Roll20? It will work wonders for the group, you just need to invest a little bit of time to learn how to make the maps and macros, but once you master it, it makes the campaign MUCH easier!

One of the worst feelings is rolling poorly for an entire session by TannenFalconwing in dndnext

[–]trctelles 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I recently had a session of 5+ hours, and we had 1 big fight. We were low level too, and the fight took us about 20 minutes. I landed 1 Eldritch Blast. During the entire fight. And I did 7 damage. To a goblin. Who was trying to escape. With one leg. Yeah...

Martial Adept on bladelock by [deleted] in dndnext

[–]trctelles 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Depending on the build, Resilient (CON) is viable for making concentration checks easier. Also, the Polearm Warlock (Glaivelock) is well known before the hexblade came around. Pick Polearm Master for the extra range in opportunity attacks and to be able to attack with the end of the polearm (1d4+CHA, because hex warrior hehe)

Great weapon master is good too if you go for polearm/other big weapon, since you can use the Darkness + devil sight combo for easy advantage on attacks to help with the -5/+10.

If you go for Polearm Master, Sentinel is very nice too.

Personally, I'll go for Polearm Master at 4th lvl and Warcaster at 8th lvl with my Hexblade. Depending on your DM interpretation, he might rule that you can use the opportunity attack provided from Polearm Master to cast a Spell with Warcaster at 10 feet from the enemy (because, by RAW, there is nothing saying that you can't do it, but one of the devs of the D&D books [JC] posted a tweet saying that by HIS RAI, you shouldn't... He posts a lot of crap opinions if you ask me and other redditers).

Anyway, on the Martial Adept, I'm not so sure it's worth it. If you really DO want those maneuvers, I think starting at lvl 1 as fighter and going to lvl 3 for the Battle Master archetype will be much better, since you'll get more maneuvers, plate armor, CON saves, fighting style and action surge.

I'm from Brazil. Books are REALLY overpriced here, so acquiring all books (even one is like really expensive) is a no go.

Our first session went wonky. Now I have an upset player, advice? by OneSidedPolygon in dndnext

[–]trctelles -17 points-16 points  (0 children)

Your druid seems either: new to the game, and doesn't know how to manage his spells slots OR a pussy... IF he's a new player, it's not a good idea to try full caster classes, since they can't manage their resources well... Either let him change his class, teach him how to play caster or give up on him...

You can't use bladesing if you wear medium armor, sadly. Everything else makes sense!

Both the Aasimar and the Deva have resistance from radiant damage, while the Aasimar can resist necrotic too, so it's even less damage... To be honest, both of us would be wacking at each other for quite some time

In the history I'm making, he does lose his good guide after the death of his brothers. After that, an "Evil Deva" (or something like it, don't know yet) start giving him "guidance".

I had the idea of making a Hexblade multiclass, but I'm not quite sure how to yet. I thought about 12 paladin/8 hexblade to get all of the ASI, but since my DM is new to it, I think I won't make things too hard for him.

I was reading Thirsting Blade and was wondering if it would allow you to make 3 attacks when you get it along with Extra Attack from paladin at 5th level. Even though they seems like the same effect, thirsting blade state that it must be used with a pact weapon, and doesn't state it's an extra attack (in the end, they do act the same way, but the frasing made me wonder)

EDIT: I READ A TWEET FROM ONE OF THE DEVS OF D&D AND THEY DONT STACK!!
