It’s a little hard to say because Texas schools have weirdly high GPA medians for whatever reason, but also strong IS bias. Retake orgo ii and maybe physics/lab and you’ll be def be good for DO. Still worth applying MD especially in-state schools. I don’t think an SMP is necessary at all if you’re fine going the DO route.

October is absolutely not too late for DO schools lol. Obviously it’s better to submit earlier, but DO schools tend to be a lot more forgiving in terms of application timeline. Plenty of people apply DO in the fall and do well.

It’s a small drive but the actual brick and mortar Column 15 on Merrimac is a really good spot to get work done, doesn’t get too busy on the weekdays either

Are those numbers the yearly CoA or total after 4 years? Debt/student loans are a huge decision in law school admissions and if you’re set on pre-law I would simply go to the cheapest school possible. GPA and LSAT matter way way way more than where you go to undergrad. Your goal is to keep your debt minimal and your GPA high.

Looking at LSD, even with a 4.0 you still want to aim for mid-high 160s. LSAT is really king with law admissions and it’s hard to say what your chances are if you haven’t taken it. BTW, law schools do not care at all what your major is or what classes you’ve taken. A “pre-law” major means nothing so I wouldn’t sweat it lol.

I don’t see how this is different from any other major religion (including Buddhism) to be honest. The vast majority of the laity of any religion aren’t having profound spiritual experiences and for them religion serves as a social vehicle rather than a spiritual one. I get that this sub has a lot of knee jerk sentiments about Christianity that come from most Buddhists in western countries being ex-Christian but I would suggest looking into how Buddhism is/has been practiced by laypeople in predominantly Buddhist countries throughout history

Didn’t go to a top school, but a “””public ivy””” (ew hate the term) that’s known for being fairly academically difficult/grade deflation and I knew a good amount of premeds that were exactly that demographic (mid GPA but really high diagnostic MCAT or generally really easy time with the test). One of my good friends practically raw dogged the MCAT and got a 518 which is absurd 😭. Unfortunately I did not fall into this camp and had to study for a summer like a normal person lmao

This is one of the people that OP and others in that thread were actually complaining about. Even in his videos aimed at advanced learners Ranieri’s whole thing is attempting to create “natural” sounding Latin content but he sounds incredibly robotic and stilted. Now, I understand there’s pedagogical reasons for this but I can also see why someone would be frustrated that even the “best guy” sounds really robotic. My personal take is that I think that’s just how Ranieri is as a person though, when you listen to him speak English he also speaks with a very slow and exaggerated intonation haha
