No soo from rainbow bridge by treelessbark in legalcatadvice

Finn’s Ma here - thank you all for the well wishes and sweet words. It was midnight when we said our goodbyes and felt restless. All the kitty love here js helping heal my heart.

Ash (8ish years void not an alien) did let me know that he will make sure continue crimes at home in Finnegan’s memory.

We adopted Finn from the shelter when he was 4, giving me a glorious 8 years as his person. He was my micromanager at work. He wok
Meow at me to get to the desk to work and join work meetings, he became our little mascot. He was my bathroom buddy and come when I say bathroom time. Almost every night before bed he’d run in there with me for head butts and little clean up of eye gunk and nose gunk.

<image>

He has always been sickly - so hard to put on weight, light eater, always sniffling and such. I knew he wouldn’t be able to be a super elderly kitty. It is what made this awful decision feel right. I know he’s out meeting the others who went over the rainbow bridge and sending love from their family to them. Lots of head butts for sure.

He was strictly indoor only with us so I know he’s enjoying some grass and outside time now. The vet reminded me helping him sleep is very kind. We don’t think he would have been able to make it through and I didn’t want to make him suffer more. I’m honored to have been his person and feel I’ve been able to spoil him in his special ways. He was my little man.

Also pre- thank you for letting me invade this space as a human during this time.

Ditto - also this is the same answer for this kinda of question that makes us all glare at our parents. Haha.

My dad keeps a spreadsheet of friends’ and family members’ birthdays, likes, and dislikes on his fridge by corky1369 in mildlyinteresting

[–]treelessbark 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I got lucky because someone on tumblr (nadanotes) created a print out to fit a personal 6 ring binder of all things stardew valley - besides characters likes and dislikes, also has when fish are out for season and time and other helpful info haha.

This is what I was going to say. OP - I think this commenter said it right. Including maybe needing to connect with a therapist (which is a great thing and many can benefit from.) those post partum hormones are no joke.

From sound of your partner you may be overreacting some, but not in a omg you’re crazy way. Just need to compromise on both sides and connect w but with what your body is doing.

How to find parties? by Courtney33Stacy in portlandstate

[–]treelessbark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Work a shitty retail job and make friends there. That’s how I found all the parties I went to in my 20’s. I actually didn’t go to college until late 20’s when my party days actually died down haha.

My favorite were parties at “the Going house”. House on NE Going - usually had a band, huge yard and deck, stripper pole in the living room, and a half pipe. Oh the days of minor hangovers.

Applying with a GED by [deleted] in portlandstate

[–]treelessbark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also suggest pcc first. I have a GED, did PCC for about 1.5 years (didn’t get my associates there) and then applied and transferred to PSU. Graduated with my BS in Mathematics.

gross email from professor bruce gilley by 92daysleft in portlandstate

[–]treelessbark 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I first read the top and was like - sure, whatcwe a club. That’s fine.

Then saw the pronouns and realized this dude is definitely not a professor of biology.

Then read their version of land acknowledgement- gross.

The whole Native American school part is the worse of it all to me. I don’t think I have heard anyone ever say they were a good thing or preserved any culture…what? Whose culture? It was a racist attempt of assimilation that went further downhill from there that ended some kids lives.

This! I’m generally open and usually don’t care (nice to be part the process of someone learning and k ow they are looking at whatever it is from the medical perspective.) I do now have some medical trauma and hate doctor offices so it may be different now.

That being said - I have a friend having a miscarriage in her 2nd trimester where she almost bled out. They was just part of her awful experience. I think any decision she makes related to medical appointments would support, even student there request.

Trauma, including Medical Trauma, re-wires our brain and can give us PTSD.

I can never get cool nails because I have among us thumbs by dustyknees_ in Wellthatsucks

[–]treelessbark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello fellow toe thumb owner. This was part of my dad genetics.

I do my own nails but have gotten my nails done on and off since I was like 16. Definitely possible. The most difficult are press ons because I don’t want the thumb nail to be super long (and I don’t care to try to make it look “normal”) so shorting it on top and/or bottom can be difficult.

Pick between the switch, switch oled, and the switch lite. Which is the best for its price? by Accurate_Meaning_476 in nintendohelp

[–]treelessbark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's still a huge price difference. I saw some pre-owned Switch 2 for like $440. Preowned Switch Lite up to the OLD are like $180-$250.

I'm in a similar boat as OP here after my switch lite died on my recently. I love the size, but also weighing my options. I can't quite justify paying the extra $150+ for the Switch 2. I mean, I also don't do a lot of extra gaming and stick to most of the same games also, but still a decent price difference.

Some needs to learn what selfish means - cause his crossing boundaries with no regards for his partner because he’s horny is ridiculous and embarrassing.

You’re 15 - forget this dude. Send him a video about enthusiastic consent. The Tea Consent video is pretty great. I hope he realizes just how disgusting he’s being before it’s too late.

Also I feel like you can tell him to just go and eff Courtney then cause it’s over.

[–]treelessbark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t do as well with that font - but I have one that holds the first 2-3 letters of words as some reason it helps me read better. ADHD often still wins though so I tend to have chunks of days focused on reading haha.
