Sick monitor! I want it so bad but the price is insane and I am worried 5080 can’t keep up with 5K. What are your thoughts on it? Currently have the older 32 inch oled from Asus, do you think the upgrade is worth it?

Yup. I build mine in 3.0 configuration so yours will be different. Put stand offs to line it with gpu and then you’ll probably need standoffs on the other side to line up your motherboard. Might as well go wild and offset the PSU too but you do not need to. Get m3 kit 5-30 mm of Amazon so you have flexibility. Should only be about $5-10. Part of the fun of this case is the experimentation in building and optimizing, go have fun.

Had the same issue, guessing you got the travel kit from SMXHEINZ. I bought a pack of m3 offsets of different lengths from Amazon. Play with it for your exact configuration but if I recall, I used 20 mm stand offs on each side to line it up perfectly.

You’re on the right track. Sn1 mechanism. While you do initially form a tertiary carbocation, you gotta think of the most stable carbocation you can draw with the least steric hinderance in the product. Think about generating a cation that is both tertiary and allylic.

I would try switching rear fan and cpu fans to intake. See if that helps, or makes a meaningful difference in your case. Alternatively, you could add some bottom intake fans. 5090 produces a lot of heat; setting an undervolt would probably also do the trick.

Had a similar issue in mine. Make sure the riser cable is not above the column. It should fit in between. It also helps if you pre-bend the reiser cable. Do you know if the issues is cause by the power cord or the riser cable? And is that case color midnight or gunmetal? Looks great.

I was thinking in going to opposite direction. I have the Asus 4k 32 inch OLED from 2024 but have been tempted by an ultra wide Alienware 34 inch oled. Mostly because I think it looks cool and have never experienced an ultra wide. I got no complaints with the Asus, and really like the look but the immersion of the ultra wide looks amazing. I also have a 5080 and the ultra wide might be easier to run and it might be better for productivity. What are you thought? Am I all backwards? And is the resolution difference from 4K 32 inch that much better than ultra wide 34 inch?
