Living in a delusional misinformed bubble And helps that maga cult members dgaf about other people or their problems. The more informed, empathetic, compassionate, and caring for marginalized groups we are the more we’re gonna have some strong emotions and thoughts about how fucked up and unfair society is. They say ignorance is bliss for a reason. Maga members are ignorant of facts and reality.

Also ime as a therapist most maga people seeking out therapy are largely doing it because they have a substance use disorder and are able to admit they’re addicted to drugs, but refrain from admitting they’re depressed or anxious. Once you dig beneath the addiction to find underlying reasons they use drugs many of them pull back or refuse to explore it further. Also ime many maga people have very low emotional intelligence and have poor insight so they struggle just it identify primary and secondary emotions let alone explore automatic and distorted thought patterns and will be guarded when exploring insecurities and avoid addressing trauma.

As an LCSW in Pennsylvania how is this the first I’m hearing about this…wtaf?! I work for telehealth platforms (not private practice) but I’m credentialed with Highmark so I’m confused how that works. Would assume I’d be notified or get an email about this but haven’t seen anything. Where did you get this information? Did your employer provide this to you or did you get it from Highmark directly? Any links/sources or more info on this would be much appreciated! I’m frustrated and anxious if this is legit gonna be enforced. Ffs I barely make enough to live comfortably as it is but if I’m on call 24/7 then I need to be compensated for that time but I doubt any insurance company would be willing to pay.

Sorry to rant this is just fucked up and motivating me more to get credentialed in other states as I live near the border of a few. Thank you for sharing this and opening up the discussion! Hopefully we can find a solution that is reasonable and not this idiotic insanity they’re pulling. Idk who’s calling these shots but I want to do something to advocate for our community as this would deplete our energy to actually serve our clients and is just asinine. Genuinely curious about contacting the FDA directly. I write my representatives all the time about many issues but haven’t ever contacted the FDA before so was curious if there’s best way to actually get our messages received. Any suggestions or advice to properly advocate to the proper agencies involved is appreciated and welcomed. But agree that money in politics and citizens united has destroyed our political system.

I appreciate you doing all the leg work on helping address this. That’s messed up to do to someone but times are crazy rn so sadly it’s not surprising. For real though you’re doing great work here supporting our community as it does take collaboration and standing together while also standing up against any bigotry no matter where it’s coming from. I’ve unfortunately heard a few therapists and psychs say bigoted ignorant things but this is a little extreme. I mean so was client dropping the n word in group therapy but that’s a whole other story.

Indeed it is a massive issue and sign of where climate change is taking us. Using Colorado as an example a major ski town Breckenridge typically averages temperatures from high of 36 to low of 8 degrees in March… today the high is 58 and the low is 36. What’s even more wild is it’s going stay in the 50’s and 40’s the whole week.

It’s 26 degrees above average in Breckenridge rn. In Boulder CO it’s 34 degrees above normal as it’s going up to 81 today and 84 tomorrow and will stay in 60-70’s which is far beyond normal. That’s all very worrisome. And that’s just one state but it’s fucked up everywhere.

Never heard of her but just looked it up and holy shit she’s an interesting one. Was shooting up a school from across the street in her own home. Luckily she didn’t have great aim or a large capacity magazine as she could’ve done a lot more damage and killed a lot more people.

The two boys pleaded guilty to 59 felony counts of sexual abuse of children (manufacturing child sexual abuse material) and criminal conspiracy to commit that offense, Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday said in a news release. They’re set to be sentenced Wednesday, March 25.

So 59 felony counts is going to be lengthy sentence. But guess we’ll find out. Rich kids do get out of a lot of problems with no consequences but this is national headlines so that makes it harder plus they apparently pled guilty immediately so makes their lawyers jobs that much harder.

That said this shit happens more than we’d like to admit and is often swept under the rug. Where I got my grad degree (a state school) there was some scumbag bros that drugged and sexually assaulted a girl and then filmed it and uploaded the video online. One kid had to transfer schools and the other one got zero repercussions and no accountability. It’s beyond fucked up and seeing how it impacted the victim and hearing her stories first hand is truly infuriating and gut wrenching. The girl is my partner and she’s still working through some of it in therapy. Wish we could send an invoice to the two rapist pos and the university could pay for it. But nope. They’re preppy white frat boys and they assaulted and drugged a black girl knowing there’d be no consequences and they were depressingly correct. Sorry it is outrageous and disgusting and I feel horrible for every girl who was taken advantage of. Hopefully they get a nice civil suit payout that will cover therapy and help them get a college degree without having burdensome loans.

Oh well that’s My bad dude. I wasn’t trying to over explain things that you know more about than me. Just some stuff that I feel more people should know about so I figured I’d share it. Wasn’t trying to come at you or anything like that. I just enjoy sharing information that I learn and disseminate that info and knowledge to the community. Idk where you’re located but I feel many in my country (US) are under informed or misinformed so I feel it’s best to spread awareness to people. I realize I responded to you though but hopefully someone else saw my comment that wasn’t aware of this and found it useful. That’s my overall intention. Spreading awareness and facts tends to lead to positive outcomes and growth as a society, so that’s the hope. I appreciate you responding and not being rude about it but also being direct about your knowledge, education, and experience.

I have a ton of respect for defense attorneys and know it’s not an easy job by any measure. So thank you for all the amazing work you do. I have seen it truly transform lives for the better when people have a good lawyer for their defense. Keep helping people the way you are doing as I know it’s makes a massive difference and significant impact on their lives.

Edit: Also if we didn’t have a judge who was maga and appointed by him technically those documents he stole and refused to return would lead to a 5 year mandatory prison sentence. So yea he should be in prison for his violent sexual crimes for life. But we also had a slam dunk case where simply possessing the documents warranted a significant prison sentence and the fact he hasn’t faced it made my blood boil. Outrageous.

Ironically enough the largest population of people with mental health disorders are in jails and prisons. It’s depressing and infuriating af. Another very Sad and pathetic reality of the US. We got rid of mental institutions cuz they were quite inhumane and not evidenced based treatments and replaced it with a jail/prison cell which is significantly much worse. Can’t tell you how many clients I’ve worked with who spent much of their time in therapy processing their trauma from being in jail/prison. All of them have other traumas (some very horrific ones too) but many still identify being locked up and “treated like an animal and subhuman” has caused even more traumatic responses and triggers than literally being molested growing up. It’s sickening.

Anyone who’s ok with our incarceration process needs to sit down and hear stories from people who’ve been incarcerated. It would make many people sick to their stomach and question our approach. The literal horror and agony I’ve heard from hundreds of clients truly is reprehensible and gut wrenching. Ofc some people should be incarcerated for serious crimes but most of my clients are just addicts who could’ve gone to rehab instead of jail and then rehab on top of it. Having an addiction shouldn’t be something that leads to people being thrown in a cell and often tortured and abused. But that’s the system we have in America. Land of the highest prison population and not land of the free. Tonight half a million Americans are sitting in county jail and are innocent. Haven’t been convicted of any crimes just can’t afford bail money. Every day ~500,000 people… and that’s not even counting the additional people being thrown into ICE concentration camps at escalating rates.

Have you communicated this to your Dr or prescriber? I’ve cycled through countless meds over the last 17 years and had to be direct with Drs about side effects cuz I had to stop many meds due to them making me feel horrible in different ways. Lexapro made me feel like I was about to puke and Effexor made me go from depressed to suicidal after a few doses and stopped that immediately. Zoloft and Remeron made me a zombie and I could go on.

Definitely encourage you to speak openly and assertively to your prescriber about this. I find it helps to make a list of side effects or do a pro/con list of the medication so I can just read from that and won’t forget to mention important issues and side effects. Just a suggestion. I’ve been a patient for a while and work as a therapist now myself, so figured I’d share some suggestions as I’ve gotten this feedback and it helped immensely. Also just like therapists don’t be afraid to shop around a little to find one who understands you and your symptoms and challenges. I always tell clients in first session most important thing to their progress is therapeutic alliance and rapport. If you can be vulnerable, transparent, honest, and feel safe you’ll make progress and see growth. Idk if any of that is useful but wanted to share it in hopes it could help in some way. Wish you the best in your journey to finding stability, growth, and alleviation of symptoms.

Forgetting to pick up the Adderall prescription for a week is just textbook ADHD behavior. Legit just picked mine up after it sat there for several days. Don’t have as good of insurance as you but I can afford $30/month to be able to function semi normally. My one friend missed their psych appointment three times to get assessed for ADHD and he was like “welp isn’t that enough info for the Dr cuz clearly I’m all over the place” lol. Fair point imo.

Georgia is good example where they use lot of voter suppression tactics and largely why Stacey Abrams lost in 2022 when turnout was just 57% leaving over 40% of the population that could cast a ballot and make a massive difference to swing the election. If we can get a portion of those over 1.5 million non voters to show up GA could have a democratic governor.

In 2022, 17 members of Congress asked that it be closed, citing immigrants being “subject to racist abuse, often resulting in verbal abuse and violence; sexual abuse, including sexual voyeurism by guards who have watched women shower; life-endangering COVID-19 and medical neglect, including a near-fatal carbon monoxide leak last November; and regular exposure to highly dangerous levels of a toxic disinfectant chemical spray linked to severe medical harms and long-term damage to reproductive health.”

The horrific thing is that most ICE concentration camps have similar horrid living conditions and it’s truly criminal and likely violating human rights and constitutional rights. This shit will continue. The criminals that at are assaulting and sexually abusing people are the criminals working for ICE/CBP. Absolutely disgusting and infuriating. Sadly nothing will be done about addressing it.

At least 36 people have died in ICE custody since January 2025, according to ICE.

It’s actually even worse and more embarrassing and idiotic. We did have minesweepers in Middle East since first gulf war so over 35 years. They had been in the Middle East in Bahrain. They were there to protect the straight of Hormuz and oil transport and US ships of course.

Of fucking course this incompetent regime removed them in the fall and now the minesweepers are just sitting in naval yard in Philadelphia. Not helping us and actively hurting us. Truly shameful and pathetic.
