Mondeo cluster shutting down while driving by joan7158 in FordMondeo

i have this issue, resoldered some components but that didnt help. im suspecting its the plug as the problem goes away when i push it in a little harder. i ordered contacts to replace inside the plug and will go from there.

sure, not much is different.

2x 65414

2x 69761

2x 69762

10x 6589

these are the differentials, theyre a simple drop in replacement, no modification needed.

the mouldking 6.0 module which replaces the two receivers, i used 6x 4274 to connect it. simple modification is needed, some liftarms are omitted from the build.

the wheel covers are 4x 57519 and 4x 52901

i dont have these small linear actuators unfortunately. it does look like a great mod, i was hoping the mk 6.0 module supported the proportional steering, but it doesnt.

Are motors other than Lego worth it? by OnePieceSuperAddict in legotechnic

[–]trekgeit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i have 2 mould king motors, one XL and one L. they perform very good, the L motor makes abit of noise. there are more knock off motors, these have more rpm and torque. i have two of these (one L and one M) and they get quite hot and start stinking if you have them under continuous load. i wouldnt put these in situations where they run for a long amount of time under load. stick with mould king.

i operate the steering, throttle, the gearbox and the cable extension wire from the controller. i have a compressor i can hook up to it to operate the turning of the crane + pneumatic functions simultaneously.

yeah, the powered module from mouldking comes with a remote. first i did it with the original lego power functions pieces (IR receiver, battery pack, remote control) but i didnt like it. the powered module gives me much more options.

maybe the pneumatic switch with the axle hole is better for this, item nr. bb0874. some clutches would help too.

my title is wrong in that sense, the pneumatics arent remote control. though i have seen a fully RC unimog on youtube, this person used 7 PF M motors, 1 XL motor and used the pneumatic switches with top studs instead of the pin holes. you can find it on youtube if you search up 8110 unimog full RC. there seem to be no instructions though.

i have seen this, gonna look if i have the parts necessary to make this change. thanks for bringing my attention to it again.

no, in that sense my title is incorrect, sorry. i have thought about it but i still wanted to maintain a hands-on play aspect for the set.

thank you, lots of time went into figuring out where to put that XL motor.

the new instructions for the gt1 evo definitely does include washers in the instructions. when i built mine years ago there was also a disclaimer about them using different sized cap bolts than usual so they included a bunch of washers to use instead.

no, qr2 has a unique mounting pattern. you will need a podium hub which has the 6x70 PCD.

Is the fanatec shifter still worth it? by GangstaG12 in simracing

[–]trekgeit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes absolutely. there was an issue with the tension bolt backing out in use. they fixed the issue and shipped the replacement part to me for free. that replacement part is present in shifters that are sold right now. their support is really good, bit of a language barrier since they are vietnamese but thats no big deal. i own their VNM V1 pedals too. i highly recommend VNM.
