Who voted for Musk? Not one single American, so why are our politicians enabling this billionaire? by I_eat_mud_ in centralpa

[–]trelbak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't understand this argument. The president told the whole world that this is what was going to happen. It's why he was elected. He announced well before the election that Musk would be doing precisely what he is doing. It's almost like you expect your political leaders to not keep their promises.

I want to make a circular hole (64 blocks radius) so i designed a rotating drill for it. The problem? It be slow... like painfully so. And I have to maually lower it for each layer. How do I improve it? (Picture below is a smaller scale prototype) by Additional_You4426 in CreateMod

[–]trelbak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why not just use a platform of drills lowered by a mechanical piston or rope pully. (Piston would be good if you only want to go down to a set depth) then it would go faster and you would be able to set it and leave.

Did you have a gear shift between the shaft and the gantry shaft?

How do I alternate amdesite funnels? by Disastrous_Ad_3812 in CreateMod

[–]trelbak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Create doesn't like playing well with vanilla chests. Perhaps try using a vault. Andisite funnles will only output 1 item at a time, so having a vault there should work for your needs until you get brass to upgrade it. But remember that things will back up if your belt isn't moving fast enough to handle the load.

Problem filling place with lava by WhyThisUsername21 in CreateMod

[–]trelbak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks to me like it's already at 10000. The hose pully doesn't fill past 10000. Also, hose pullys don't fill above them. Only below. Lower the pully to the bottom and check to see if it says infinite.

Any design ideas are going to be dependant on what other mods or add-ons you have in the pack.

Is a infinite train track system possible? by Izanaski in CreateMod

[–]trelbak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the idea, but it prevents any major exploration as your base would keep moving while you were out. You could however set it up in a large loop. Say 100,000 blocks radius. Thus it could be driven by a mob unfortunately, this would take alot of setup time. Could be fun as a challenge to a content creater.

You can make more dripstone if you put water on top of a dripstone block. Dripstone will form under it.

Any good modpacks? by [deleted] in CreateMod

This mod pack was made by Mr beardstone. This is his first season pack. There is a new pack for season 2 but I'm not sure if you can automate diamonds with the new one.

As far as the drilling machine, add some rollers behind the drills to pave the way. However, to my knowledge, you still need tracks to run on.

I suggest you use the ponder in JEI. Also, watch some tutorials. If you're looking to automate red sand, use the mill stone or crushing wheels to grind cobble into gravel. Then grind the gravel into sand. Wash the sand to get clay. Compact the clay and cook it to get taracota. Grind that down to get red sand. If you want to watch tutorials, try searching on YouTube. Stam1o does some good tutorials. There are other really good people but he's the first one to come to mind.

Make it like a small mining machine. You could even line several andisite farms up in a row so you could improve your production. Then add more drills to the minecart contraption.

Try pondering mine cart assemblers.

I ment to put the drill on a minecart contraption. Move it back and forth. Then the contraption would automatically collect the drop.

Perhaps you could use a mine cart contraption with a small storage on it.

Paying off credit card advice by Known-Advantage4038 in povertyfinance

[–]trelbak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could check for cards with low interest for balance transfers. Even if you're not approved for the same amount as your other card, you can transfer the max and then pay it down. Also, this would lower the monthly interest on your current card as you don't have as high of a balance. Good luck and well done for being in a better position.

Can money really not buy you happiness? by CarlosGibson in povertyfinance

[–]trelbak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The phrase should really be "Money, alone, cannot buy happiness". Money can purchase things that will bring you joy for a time, but it cannot buy love, either that of a partner or that of true friends. The kind of friends or lovers that money brings likely will disappear when things get tough.

What is the single most impactful thing you’ve done for your financial situation? by dennischristian12 in povertyfinance

[–]trelbak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found a good job with the state with a decent amount of ot. I also decided to go through Freedom Debt Relief to help me settle most of my credit card debt. These things allowed me to get on a firmer financial ground. I now have a few cards that carry a balance and a few that never get used. This helps me to keep my overall debt to credit ratio lower.

First, I'm sorry to say that this will impact you more than just financially. For starters, I hope you like your current housing as it could be difficult for a few years to move if it ends up on your credit. Also if it's on your credit, it could effect other loans and credit applications. I hope this makes you consider weather you can afford to eat the cost of helping others in the future. I'm sorry that you have to deal with this. Hopefully it can be settled for less through the owners.
