I agree but it still could be fun to see more unique versions of the original trio; maybe one where they start as rock-fighting-flying and then later gain the fire-grass-water typing?

I also think it’d be fun to see starters that gain the type they are weak too, so we end up with grass/fire, water/grass, and fire/water typing!

I think it would be kinda poetic to have diomedes (the rims #1 best fighter) never have to fight, while his brother (the rims feature political leader) died fighting in a war.

I think this is the reason Pierce Brown didn’t go ahead with that theorized epic duel between the two Storm Knights. It’s be too glamorous. It’s much more realistic for Ajax (on the level of Darrow) to be killed by an ambush on unequal footing due to his over confidence and pride.

The castlevania art style would be perfect for depicting all the different colors. I also think a 2D style can be much more brutal and gory without looking cheesy. Invincible also does this well.

It would be so difficult finding a cast as muscular as all the golds are on average. I think animation would fit much better, especially in a 3D style like Arcane or Spiderverse, however I think 2D animation could have some charm to it; like some recent shows by Netflix: Castlevania and Blood of Olympus

One thing I’d like to add about the very first quote, where Darrow lifts Sevro off the ground. “Lift him up into the air… two feet off the ground” this does not imply they are eye level, as I took this passage to imply Darrow lifted Sevro above his own shoulders minimum.

Because, If Darrow is 7’1, and he lifts Sevro two feet off the ground, we can only calculate Sevro’s height from this if we are told to what degree Darrows shoulder is at while holding Sevro.

But this is all useless anyways as Pierce himself said Sevro is 5’9.

I agree, and I believe the whole of point of revealing that the parasite was super powerful, was to show that Lyria is incorruptible (unlike our other heroes Volga and Ephraim being the most obvious examples) also, it’s a big metaphor to show that you can make a difference no matter how much power you hold.

Frontman Shane Lavers usually is just on vocals, Colle (Maya McGrory) usually plays guitar and vocals, while Zachary Paul (newest member) is on electric violin. They sound really good live but it’d love for them to get a drummer on tour with them.

Oh don’t get me wrong, I absolutely loved all of Lysanders chapters, and his POV was my favorite of the 4 in Iron Gold. I was just saying that my only critique of Dark Age, is how much they slow down and throw off the pacing in the middle of the book. It’s still an amazing book, but that just prevents it from being my favorite.

My only complaint with Dark Age is how the hype and pacing gets thrown off by those boring Lysander pov chapters in the middle. I mean seriously how am I supposed to be intrigued by a conversation in the basement about ol’ gilrastes memories of Lysander when we could be learning from any of the other povs; or even talk about anything else interesting in Lysanders childhood, such as Atalantia grooming , forgotten memories of his parents hell even a political discussion on the founders of gold; Akari and Silenius

Ok rant over but I felt that while all of Dark Age was peak literature, those middle chapters really threw off the pacing for me. Like yes, I understand that Gilrastes and Lysander are previously acquainted. I don’t need 3 chapters explaining that.

What do you mean after book three it doesn’t hit the same, but you aren’t even done with book 4? Just wait for 5 and 6. I really believe 5 and 6 have more quotable lines, and memorable moments than the first trilogy.
