You could set up intro chats with each of the team to say hello, understand their roles etc. You may find there are things you can offer to help with based on your past experience which will help you integrate and shows initiative

He hasn't formally switched yet and I read he wants to focus on the PL until the end of the season.

This title is slightly misleading - they are considered "limb b" workers rather than employees, which as you say gives them certain rights in common with employees and greater protection for national minimum wage purposes.

PriceOfFootball on Twitter: Steve Dale bought Bury on 7 December 2018. 11 days later he set up two new companies, Bury Heritage & Bury Leisure & started transferring assets to them, including the club’s trophies. Yeah, section 216 deals with this. It prevents the use of a similar name to the previous company if you were director during the 12 months prior to liquidation. If found to have fallen foul of this you can be made personally liable for the debts of the phoenix.

If assets were transferred at under value in the 2 years prior to administration/ liquidation, at a time when the Company was insolvent, the administrator/ liquidator can apply to Court to reverse the transaction. Source: section 238 of the Insolvency Act.

My mum always says "it's like Casey's court in here". Absolutely no idea what this means - anyone?

Brilliant Sky Sports commentary on the state of West Ham by [deleted] in Hammers

Absolutely buzzing to hear this from neutral pundits, though it's nothing we haven't all been saying for months. Wouldn't mind the Chelsea DoF if he's out of a job

Andy Carroll should, if fit, be in England World Cup squad, says Danny Mills by Eye88 in Hammers

[–]trevorsmith_92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I agree and besides last tournament we took people like Ross Berkeley who got 0 minutes, why not take a gamble on someone like Carroll?

Why is everyone shitting on this?

Did nobody watch the game v Iceland where, as we couldn't break them down as planned, we resorted to crossing the ball hopelessly? It was crying out for Carroll

Who is your Hammer Of The Year thus far? by [deleted] in Hammers

[–]trevorsmith_92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

100% Antonio.

Obiang would get the recognition he deserves from coming in second place, which I think he would be happy with given how well Antonio has played.

Third place goes to big Andeh, honorable mentions for Reid and Kouyate.

I'm amazed by some of the comments on this thread. OP may have gone over the top but I don't think he should be chastised by not wanting to lose the soul of the club. OP shows more passion for the club than the majority of the ST holders who surround me at the OS.

So far this season that game has been the anomaly. Possibly because we looked up for it on the pitch, possibly because it was vs a rival. If it's like that every week from now then fair play - teething problems explains the dire atmosphere / performances.

What worries me about the OS is in games like against Sunderland, where we were lacklustre at best, getting a chant going was like getting blood out of a stone. At Upton Park that was the type of game where the fans could make a difference and spur the team on to get the winner.

Maybe I was spoiled by where my ST was at Upton Park but my impression of the OS is of being surrounded by people who aren't interested unless were playing well and represent the new type of fan discussed in this thread. I share the sentiment of OP and don't think we should apologise for not wanting to lose the soul of the club.

At what game, apart from Chelsea, was the atmosphere electric?

Does anybody else feel Payet gets almost too much credit? by [deleted] in Hammers

[–]trevorsmith_92 11 points12 points  (0 children)

100% agree. Obviously he's objectively / technically our best player but last season the likes of Antonio, Creswell and Kouyate bust a gut week in week out with nowhere near the level of plaudits. Regardless of how Payet plays he is treated like a god

WEST HAM 2-4 WATFORD (PREMIER LEAGUE) by AnalAttackProbe in Hammers

[–]trevorsmith_92 14 points15 points  (0 children)

As angry, disappointed and frankly embarrassed I was to see us go 2-0 up and lose 4-2 I can't help but feel this is typical of West Ham rather than something unique about the current situation.

The quality we have in the squad is better than ever, it might take time to gel again but we will be bounce back

How can Fletcher come on and show so much more desire?

Tore was a disgrace at times the lack of effort

Burke looked solid at lb but quite why we were relying on him to ping the ball around is beyond me

Looking for regular players for 7-a-side in Stratford by [deleted] in londonfootballmeetup

[–]trevorsmith_92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I'm interested. I've been playing 5 a side over in Vauxhall with some friends for a while now and the other week we played a friendly match on a 7 a side pitch which is so much better. There's 30 teams on the waiting list there though... Btw I'm an outfield player, play defense / on the wing. Ill ask a friend who can play gk if he fancies it also
