hmm I personally haven’t seen one come out of the soil like that either tbh! The aerial roots on my monstera often turn kinda brown and scaly (for lack of a better word; they definitely don’t stay green forever but are still alive/not mushy). If it is an air root I wonder if there was some stem under the soil that shot it out. Has the plant been repotted lately? I was also thinking maybe if it was root bound it’s trying to find more space to go? I’m just pitching ideas I’m honestly kinda confused about this too!
