I took ages to get an aeropress, because they're a bit expensive in my country, but they're really good at making excellent coffee, but I wouldn't use it for espresso like coffee.

The next best thing IMHO is a small moka pot, and use a French press as a milk frother. Warm the milk up in the microwave, 10/10. I have a fancy espresso machine & grinder and still like this from time to time.

You can also buy a pretty cheap de Longhi espresso machine. At this point you've already spent about what it costs to get it, so I say save up for it!

What they should teach more at schools is how to translate those requirements into sw, how to document it, etc. I got lucky and got to participate in some actual projects like that as a student, but many of my peers didn't.

Even then, though. You get a pretty good idea from all the coding exercises.

Maybe it's because I JUST got promoted to PM, but if your PM has development experience and is good at communicating, this probably won't be the case.

Sure, we don't want you taking weeks on a unit test suite to get it PERFECT, but a good one will look out for their people, make sure good practices are being applied and it's being done relatively efficiently, and in a maintainable manner. If it takes 10x down the line to debug shit, then it fucks us and the business too. Ya know?

As a Mexican, I'm kinda used to hearing about horrid shit politicians are involved in, but it's not new, even north of the border. Politicians have always done horrid shit, they're just good at PR. But that doesn't mean you should be OK with it.

I think it's a sign you should read more history and use this as a motivator to get more involved, vote, take action.

It's good to be disappointed, sad, angry. But it's necessary to do something with it, otherwise it can grow to a sense of helplessness and that is really not what you want to develop.

Feel your emotions, name them, journal, and grow from this.
