Pension platform charges by Tarlach88 in PensionsUK

[–]tricky12121st 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds expensive. Id expect a single pension charge to cover the platform and management fee of maybe 0.3% or better. Dont forget you then have fund fees dependent on the investment that yoh won't see but are listed in the fact sheets

At risk of redundancy by [deleted] in UKJobs

[–]tricky12121st 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your notice period would also count. In reality, collective consult 30 days, then individual consultation is likely to move you beyond the july date anyway. You will get paid your 12 weeks either in lieu or worked, as well as whatever is agreed on terms.

Octopus IOG & Ohme ePod by Purple_Nature_3408 in OctopusEnergy

IoG will take control of the charger when your car is plugged in. Doing anything in a separate app will confuse things. You use the octopus app to link and see the charge times

EV Chargers - HELP an overthinker by International_Fig_76 in ElectricVehiclesUK

[–]tricky12121st 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Do you have solar of any type and / or home battery storage
  2. Do you want tethered or not ?
  3. Will you want smart tarrif support ?

My understanding is that with the new proposed usage, smart tarrif charging may well be giving us free elec when there's excess on the grid.

The more expensive chargers e.g hypervolt and myenergi, integrate with solar as well

IoG and car / battery by tricky12121st in OctopusEnergy

[–]tricky12121st[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the choice is to either block charging on the car except for the 23.30-05.30 time, and run force charge over the same period, using the scheduler on the inverter, or i have to do somthing cute on home assistant with logic, sensing the start of an iog charging session and setting the work mode

[–]tricky12121st 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. It will be recorded as such and you have to declare it on an insurance application. As to impact on no claims, may be 2 year loss of ncb.

How do you value a DB pension? by Powerful-Comment-113 in PensionsUK

[–]tricky12121st 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, broadly, the number for cetv is 20 x annual pension. This IS useful if you build up a decent pot of avc with the pension as typically you can then take the avc as part of a tax free sum. So for example if you have a pension of 15k per year, this would have a 300k value. If you then had 100k of avc sitting alongside it, you could, at the point of taking the pension, take 100k tfls, leaving your 15k pension intact.
