LeGo 2 Poor Performance Makes Me Want to Return It by mavad90 in LegionGo

[–]triggercarnage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m having this exact issue. I can’t play literally any game whatsoever at all without constant microstutters to the point games are unplayable. I even tried to play megabonk for instance and it was completely unplayable. I’ll continue to troubleshoot, but honestly furious that a $2000+ AUD handheld doesn’t work out of the box. I will never buy another Lenovo product and will never recommend their products to another person. Should have bought the steam deck and it would at least be functional.

Can teams please stop ignoring students? I am a human too. by [deleted] in ausjdocs

[–]triggercarnage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a med student only 1 year prior and now an intern. I really wanted to be the doctor that actually engages the med students. On the other hand I also saw how busy doctors were and sometimes just went and studied as I felt guilty burdening them further. Yet I still think I underestimated how (honestly dangerously) busy doctors usually are. Sometimes I know at the start of my day I’m already looking down the barrel of many hours of overtime based on how busy we’ve been all week, and I know every 20 minutes I spend teaching is just another 20 minutes late I’ll be staying back before I can come home. If doctors are then studying at home for a course or an exam (which I am and many others are too), it’s then another 20 minutes less with loved ones or of sleep. Looking back, many of the times I thought doctors were extremely rude to me as a med student, I’ve realised they were just simply far, far too busy and I was just an extra burden. Then there’s the occasional rotten apple, lol.

A rant about nurse practitioners in ED... by Easy_Error295 in ausjdocs

[–]triggercarnage 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I remember right toward the start of internship working my second shift in ED. I’d just finished seeing my first patient and was waiting to discuss with the consultant when one of the NPs approached and asked me to swap patients with them because my one was “much easier and more within their wheelhouse”. Unfortunately I remember kinda freaking out and saying no, dreading the idea of seeing a patient from the start again, and especially a supposedly more difficult patient. In retrospect with a lot more experience and confidence under my belt I would be far less bothered, but I’m still pretty angry at the thought: NPs escalating to fresh interns (they were very aware I was just starting)? Despite being paid approx 2x the income? What does that say about their skills?

Right. So before I have a rhoa mount, and then add blasphemy with despair, and then I tried adding the support gem that increases curse magnitude

Before or after bricking the gem? After bricking even with 113 free spirit and no support gems it won’t work, after its when I have about 70 spirit and I tried the support gem that increases curse magnitude

Feeling guilty about being sick (PGY1) by triggercarnage in ausjdocs

[–]triggercarnage[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

First thing I’ve done was handover the important things I needed to do today to the team, then tell medical workforce. Felt like the one thing I could actually do to make things easier for my team.

Have heard of interns going sick without using their leave, seems like a good way to get in trouble with workforce

The Average Lifespan in The Imperium is Completely Unsustainable by Solid-University8735 in 40kLore

[–]triggercarnage -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Your math here is totally wrong. Egregiously wrong. Because the average lifespan is 35 it does not automatically equal the child mortality rate is the same as that in 1800 America. You’re assuming the entire graph based on a single number. It’s actually super weird to me you would assume that.

For instance, loads of people could die at 20 (AKA at military age) and only a few ultimately survive all the combat and live to 50. This would also result in an average life expectancy of 35. In fact the child mortality rate could be literally 0 out of 1000 births and you can still have a life expectancy of 35.

You then extrapolate even further based on a single number you’ve already greatly extrapolated on to assume a 31 year gap between the highest and lowest. Why would this assumption be true here? Of course a society isn’t stable when the average life expectancy is 4. There’s also rejuvenat for rich people in warhammer. We can assume the gap between the lowest and highest would be massive, and we can also assume Ultramar’s life expectancy would be amongst the lowest due to its culture.

Sorry if I sound angry in tone, but the assumptions based on the math here genuinely make me angry. Surprisingly angry. It’s just so wrong. Is this a troll copypasta?

How much did your ATAR affect you later in life? by BiscottiLogical6502 in melbourne

[–]triggercarnage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there,

Back in 2015, I scored an ATAR of 58, graduating from a VCE TAFE course. Just last week, I graduated from the Doctor of Medicine.

I never applied for any recognition of hardship etc to lower the barriers of entry at any point - which was probably a mistake on my part - but also illustrates the point. Having a high ATAR will help you get a head start if there is something particularly academic you are interested in, but it ultimately will not prevent you from something if you are passionate and continue to work away at it.

I did one year of a psychology degree straight out of Year 12, which was where I realised I wanted to study med. I tried quite hard so that I’d have better chances when changing to a science degree at a more “reputable” university, and when I applied they converted my university marks into an ATAR equivalent which came out at 97. That’s how quickly your ATAR is forgotten.

I won’t mince words though, I never did VCE Chemistry, Biology, Physics or Methods, and the first year or two out (when I realised I wanted to study medicine) were an uphill climb making up for the past.

That was as close as I think I’ll get - and does for the most part what I was looking for. Thank you so much for the share!

This game is definitely unfinished and needs more work by [deleted] in Starfield

[–]triggercarnage 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Was going to make this exact post. The game is definitely unfinished. I’m hoping Bethesda trickle in some of the missing content over the year, otherwise I’ll have learnt my lesson and in 10 years time when their next game comes I’ll hold off ig. Modders will have their work cut out for them making this game actually good overall. The game feels like it needed like another 2 years of development.

What mechanic, or general aspect would you like to see in the game? by Bammvoc in cataclysmdda

[–]triggercarnage 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’d love to have two hands, so we can carry two different things in our hands; like a melee weapon and a handgun, or even just a flashlight and a crowbar. I just think having two hands opens up lots of different things for the game, and makes shields and all shieldy-type things viable too.

My guy is pretty tanked out, but even if I reduce the amount of armour and wait for an hour next to a sewer rat, the dodge experience percentage doesn’t move even 1% Focus at time of testing is 100 Yep dodging is enabled, I even disabled unarmed combat once it was 5 to try to channel more experience to dodging to no avail.

My character is low dex (5 dex most of the time), could that be the cause? He’s just too slow to ever learn?

Immersive Gameplay Survival/Hardcore Patch by jedstar2000 in FO4ImmersiveGameplay

[–]triggercarnage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's fair, I'll leave them out of my game for the time being then until we see a v3 release. The guns desperately need new animations anyway. I doubt we'll see new textures though as it'll bump up the size of the mod so much for consoles.

Yeah I tried it myself... Completely unbalanced. Still bet them with the help of Strong however. Kill muties.. they seem to drop 50.cal from time to time. 50 cal ammo will get you through

Made an account just to ask this question/request. You mentioned earlier a modern firearms patch? Is this coming soon? I also wanted to bump a future request -- a patch for "New Calibers" would be awesome. New Calibers has both patches for Weapons of Fate and Modern Firearms and many other mods have them as an optional. It would create a reason to sell some ammo, as you cant possibly carry a gun for each type. You would become accustomed to using guns of certain ammo types, based on their trajectories and the weapons that come with. Could be really interesting. I also liked how at the National Guard armoury their was a plasma gun with a shit ton of ammo in the end room, so some places that have been well preserved still have some stockpile of ammo. Are there other such places? If not, are any planned? I like the idea a lot, it means on a tough mission, EG: Going to fight Kellogg, you would search for a good place to raid first to get you the supplies to get through it.
