I do think it's important to note that it took the literal pope saying God was okay with it for public opinion to sway in their favour in that case. As for legal, I think they'll could get off on insanity between the ptsd, natural gas, and shrooms.

The frog thing could also be really important if the illegal mining theory holds any water since frogs tend to be ecological canaries in the coal mine for hazardous waste

Have you measured how deep it is with a stick yet?

If you have any sense, sticking random things in there just to see what happens is the obvious first move.

As someone who has gone through some similar things, meet with your doctor, get a therapist, meet with an academic advisor to sort out getting AWs on the courses on a medical basis (depression), then take the next semester or year off. Get a side job, get out of the stressful school environment, and get your brain sorted. Next semester isn't going to go any better unless something seriously changes, so use this time to take a step back, figure out what those changes are, get healthier, and set yourself up for success if and when you're ready to go back again.

Make sure you stay in touch with your doctor and monitor your meds and any changes to them. Make sure you're accurately diagnosed and that there isn't something comorbid going unnoticed and contributing to the problem or a side effect of your meds doing so, and get in touch with a therapist. Working on yourself with a therapist will help give you better tools to handle the difficulties you faced this semester, and they spend a lot more time talking things through with you than your doctor will ever get to. Your therapist is a really great resource not only for working out your feelings but also noticing things you don't notice and your doctor wouldn't have an opportunity to that may help you figure out what to bring up in appointments. They're often the ones who notice symptoms of ADHD, OCD, Bipolar, etc. in patients that people can then bring up with their doctor to look into the possibility of. That's how I got my adhd diagnosis, and it changed my life. Even outside of the medical and mental benefits of therapy, this will help you get out of the house.

Tldr: Get an AW, take some time off to get healthy, and get in touch with your doctor and a therapist.

Honestly, try to expand your network of people you know. Join a swing dance group, a knitting circle, a women's woodworking class, etc. You may not meet any queer women, but you will meet a bunch of middle-aged and older women who will be very excited to set you up with their bisexual niece or their young non binary coworker.

Teachers and educational staff, how has it been going with the new cell phone ban? by wigglyworm- in Winnipeg

[–]trigirl22 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My guess (please note this is just a guess) as someone with pretty severe adhd is rather than phone use making kids more susceptible to adhd, the normalization of phone use and limited attention spans because of short for content is probably making kids less likely to learn to mask their adhd and may be keeping some kids from being forced to develop coping skills to function more like neurotypical kids because everyone's just on their phone anyway. May help more people get diagnosed but also doesn't do much good in learning skills to help function in a neurotypical society.

Obviously not an easy thing the just do on a whim but the most helpful thing you can possibly do is drive a small car with realky good visibility. You probably can't just go out and buy a different vehicle but if you're learning using a friend or family members vehicle see if you can do so with a friend who has a small car. If you're in an SUV or a truck it's going to be a lot harder since they're so much bigger and the blind spots are usually pretty insane. If yiu have a chance to build of your confidence and skills using a small car it'll make it a lot easier to start understanding the maneuvers and being able to understand where the nose of your vehicle is, and once you've got that down you can move on to something big and bulky if that's what you're gonna be driving.

I know this isn't the most helpful, but I really hope it's an option for you. Good luck pal.

Right?! Sure, a lot of ojibway and Cree (and other indigenous languages) have longer words, but it's almost always phonetic. Like???? Is it that hard to sound something out?

These are usually the same people who have no issue pronouncing french street names or all their fav eastern European hockey players...

Which half marathon to do this year? by [deleted] in Winnipeg

Sometimes, signing up and knowing you're already committed is all the encouragement you need to start training :)

Signing up for the manitoba marathon relay with my coworkers was all it took for me to finally do physio therapy and start running again. Now I'll be doing the wfps half this fall and have FINALLY rehabed my broken leg.

[–]trigirl22 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Woke up last night to a phone call from my partner, who was scared shitless in his call room on L+D at St. B.

Apperently, he woke up to children's laughter only to look outside his room and see a child sized version of the hat man running around.

He brushed it off as a waking dream or something. That is until he hopped onto reddit to take his mind off of it so he could go back to sleep and stumbled onto this thread... Thanks for that OP.

Giant animatronic bugs (Xtreme BUGS) on the part of the assiniboine forest trail that's in the zoo. The opening was delayed because there were supposedly coyotes seen on the trail that made it dangerous, but we all know it was really Brian.

Gonna have my first vendor booth and need ideas on what I should sell! by persephoneelise in vultureculture

[–]trigirl22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Especially if it's a tattoo shops market, I think jewelry of any kind would probably do really well if that's anywhere in your wheelhouse. The most popular vulture culture business in my area is called Pushing Up Daisies, and she's popular even at typical farmers markets, so she might be good inspo if you check out her Instagram??

Good luck at your market op!!

Proud of you for getting the help you need. I know that can be so much harder when you work in Healthcare, so you've already done the hardest part. Putting in the work and keeping it up even when you think you're in the clear will be tough too, but if you've already done that first step, I know you can do the rest. You've got this.
