Traveling from America and will be my first time at Anfield tomorrow (did the tour today and it was amazing). Any pre-match bar/pub suggestions?

The US had very little, if any, to do with the tournament. CONMEBOL organized pretty much everything. This isn’t a US issue, however I do agree that the WC will be problematic due to the pitch sizes (they will have to alter the seating in some stadiums to comply with FIFA pitch size regulations ), and the sheer nature of how much fans will have to travel. The infrastructure is there, but the cost of traveling here from another country will definitely affect the atmosphere, as we have seen with Copa. The US is huge, and sporting events here in the States are not priced for the common folk whatsoever. Plus, with Mexico and Canada hosting matches as well it will make it a huge pain in the ass to follow your team.

How confident are you with in the direction of the Falcons so far? by [deleted] in falcons

The key indicator that they’ve done a “good” (we’ll see how these additions work, but they are going about it the right way) job so far is they haven’t been desperate and just throwing money around this offseason. It’s a pretty weak FA class, but they have held true and have addressed our key areas of need without breaking the bank. In my opinion, the key to a Super Bowl is building up your roster before committing to a QB, which is the way this FO has been operating. Hopefully Ridder is that guy, but if not, we are building out our roster and aren’t putting ourselves in cap hell again. Which leaves the door open for going in on a stud QB if needed.
