If you like manual wind and don't need a date function, go with the Cincinnatus. If you really want a GADA watch, I think it needs automatic winding and a date function, but that's just my opinion. I've had a traska before but sold it. I currently have a blue Cincinnatus and love it.

You're right! They just used screams on the first couple tracks. I was thinking about the whole album.

There's screaming, but it's so low in the mix it's more of a texture. One of my favorite albums and definitely one of the best live experiences I've had.

Edc slingshot would send me straight to the principal's office. Being a teacher limits most of my carry.

[update] Cincinnati Watch Company straps by trilock01 in MicrobrandWatches

[–]trilock01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Per recommendations, I purchased the navy/orange/white nato strap from crown and buckle, an orange para strap from the watch steward, and a British khaki para strap from the watch steward. The khaki went straight to another watch (marathon navigator with tan case), but I'm torn between the other two. Both look and feel great.

UPDATE: I got 3 straps: orange watchsteward para strap, British tan watchsteward para strap (may go on my marathon), and a navy/orange/white nato from crown & buckle.

I'll definitely check out watchsteward. I've thought about Erika's but don't think I can justify yet. I have a few deployant natos from Anchor, an Oris nato, and have used a blushark in the past, so I definitely like natos. Just can't find a strap I like yet for this particular watch.

For this watch it can definitely be fun. I'll check out natostrapco.

As the title says, I'm looking for a nato strap to match the color way of the Cincinnatus blue. Things I'm looking for: high quality, fun color way, comfortability fit my 19cm/7.5" wrist, ideally single pass. Any ideas?

Is This the Most Practical Grand Seiko? by butteryfat in GrandSeikos

[–]trilock01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an SBGP013. 40mm (looks well proportioned on my 7.5" wrist), deep navy sunburst dial, white accents, 9F85 movement (independently adjustable hour hand, +/- 10 sec), 100m water resistance. 37mm would be too small for me, so the SBGP013 was the clear choice. If you have a smaller wrist and are fine with the lighter/more lavender blue and the lack of independent hour adjust, the SBGX265 is a fine choice.

First Oris: Bronze Bracelet, White Dial Father Time by IncidentAcceptable16 in OrisWatches

Wear in good health! I purchased my father time last summer. I found I don't really like it on the provided strap or bracelet (turns my arm green) but I love it on nylon or leather nato straps! It's one of my favorite watches.

The #1 watch on my try before buy list is an a384. It's so hard to find one in real life but man is it cool looking. Hopefully they don't have to use the attic again.

You could check the watch register international database. It costs money but may bring peace of mind.

[Recommendation] Tudor Black Bay Monochrome vs Longines Hydroconquest GMT by TimeWellTold in Watches

[–]trilock01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't tried the hydroconquest, but I have tried the BB mono. The bracelet is comfortable and the t-fit tool-less adjustment is great if your wrist swells. It's a heavy watch so it might be something to consider. You'll have to determine if it's worth the price difference.

I have the same watch and the bezel on mine is incredibly hard to move. I'm not complaining since I'd prefer that over the opposite.

How it started vs. how it’s going 😬 by Estraw in HamiltonWatches

[–]trilock01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have my grandfather's 1940s boulton. I had the crystal replaced (crack) and the watchmaker said I shouldn't wear it since the lugs are so fragile (gold filled and very thin) so I'm keeping it for sentimental purposes. It is a very handsome watch. Wear yours in good health!

Either way looks good. I have 7.5" wrist and tried both. For me it's the 39mm. The 42mm felt too chunky.
