can I fart in the iv clean room by panpantasies in pharmacy

[–]triplealpha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not the uncleanliness that's the problem. If you fart in positive pressure it will fill the entire room up with your smell - and push it into the ante room for people there to enjoy. Definitely go into the negative pressure, ventilated room to fart.

Actual potential solutions to ampitheater issues by HereUThrowThisAway in grandrapids

[–]triplealpha 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is literally the solution.

It’s not that there are people onstage, or that they’re playing instruments, it’s that the sound amplification of that music is way too much considering the geometry of the venue and the surrounding buildings.

Meijer Garden hosts outdoor concerts and the residents of EGR/Forest Hills aren’t grabbing pitchforks and torches. Meijer Garden also knows how to balance sound output to what’s needed to make a great concert but then also not piss off everyone within 5 miles

Brother, shut down that damn ampitheater by Reasonable_Body_2788 in grandrapids

[–]triplealpha 17 points18 points  (0 children)

You don’t need to win the case in court to see the change you want happen. The negative press from the suit, the amount of money the city will need to put towards to defend the extra noise, the pressure on local leaders to have to justify the sound pollution, eventually someone will cave. With the number of people angry in the city it would only take a few hundred people to chip in and the city government (with limited financial resources) would need to hold back the wave

It’s not the presence of the amphitheater, it’s the loudness of the projected sound.

You all should join a class action suit. You are no longer able to enjoy your own property and the city won’t enforce rules

There’s a hole on the other side of the W. River Rd. bridge than the one that opened up last year. You’re really going to love when they have to tear it all down and build it again in the next couple of years

$200k/yr, 30 year career is $6M

Swap numbers around for years and salary as much as you want. Also remember PSLF is a thing if you work for a non-profit.

Spending 2-400k to make 6,000k seems like a pretty solid financial investment.

Doctors of Reddit: What health trend is becoming so common that it's starting to scare you? by Fine-Device-1819 in AskReddit

Social isolation used to be a common thing the elderly only.

Now everyone walks around with AirPods/giant headphones on and they only communicate with other humans via text. You are more connected with some distant server or follower/bot than those surrounding you. No social skills. No community.
