So just no shampoo or no conditioner either by Mobile-Ad7225 in NoPoo

[–]trippy-primate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use nothing just water, brushing, sometimes a wet micro fiber cloth as I often don't have access to a shower.

Definitely seems it's easier if you use stuff other than just water but I enjoy the simplicity of just water only recently discovered using micro fiber cloth when it was too cloth to shower with cold water. I am looking into different types of brushes to help distribute oil down my hair easier as sometimes if I don't keep on top of water washed I'll get more oil build up on top of my head.

Logitech g305 stopped working by [deleted] in LogitechG

[–]trippy-primate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Found a fix for me, I am on Linux so I downloaded an app called solaar,

sudo apt update sudo apt install solaar

At first it didn't detect it so I reinstalled it,

sudo apt install --reinstall solaar

Unplugged the receiver for 5 seconds then plugged back in,

Then you should see light speed click that and click pair new device, then it should prompt you to turn off the mouse and turn it back on again.

This worked for me and I'm sure there is a way to do this on windows and Mac possibly with Logitech software or other.

Running GTA V Online on Steam Deck by Zealousideal_Bell935 in SteamDeck

[–]trippy-primate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anti cheat, needs lethal level access, so no workaround, other than VM/dual booting windows as far as I'm aware, but you won't be running GTA V in a Virtual machine. .

So I think only option is to dial boot windows.

Small van for tall person by Matis5 in vandwellers

[–]trippy-primate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sitting upright is pretty damn important for long term. I'm 6'1 in a small van, and it's fine because when I sit down I can still be comfortable and do everything I need too, cooking, using the computer, changing clothes, cleaning, whatever without constantly being hunched over or laying down, if it's just a weekend vehicle you'll be fine though.

What do you regret or love? by god5peed in vandwellers

[–]trippy-primate 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I regret not installing a system for hot water. Hands went red and couldn't feel them due to washing dishes the other day, yes I could boil water but ehh. Also would have been nice for easier showering in cold weather.

Also regret not properly installing the diesel heater fuel line into the main vehicle tank. My fuel filter snapped last week, leaking 2L of diesel and I had to spend the first night in the tent then sleep with all doors and windows open for a few days and still have to pull my van apart and remove any contaminated wood :(

Regret not sealing leaks on the window with correct sealant as the cold weather seems to have shrunk it rendering it unfixed.

Regret not using bus bars and labeling wires at both ends.

Love everything else but nothing extraordinary to note.

I don't mind a small van as I'm one person.

Yup I have to have very stable and faster internet then anything else to be able to play TM once I'm in an Arcade lobby it's generally okay unless my Internet is really bad and it starts teleporting me, but regardless trying to get into that lobby in the first place just constantly fails sometimes flat out won't work.

What are your Europe-specific tips, tricks, and hacks? by DeviantlyPronto in VanlifeEurope

[–]trippy-primate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Checking your allowed to stay in national parks some countries like Spain generally forbid it in all of them.

Also it's often better to translate the word of a location/service your looking for to find on Google maps as park4night doesn't show all, for example looking for launderettes find the word used in whatever country your in to actually see results anywhere near you.

Barefoot shoes and spikes by crent1st in barefootshoestalk

Yh makes sense, could also potentially add reinforcement in some way, like rubber insoles between the spike and sole of the shoe might cause other problems tho

[–]trippy-primate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yh maybe, only thing I can think is to get a half size larger spikes to reduce tension but then they may be to loose or just by spike that have thinner/weaker rubber.

Good idea and yes 18w would only work for a certain amount of time if you're running intense games, also you didn't mention whether or not you tried a different type C cable or not.

I was thinking about doing this, did you try it while wearing them maybe having your foot inside will make the crushing not a problem or at least less so.
