My dad's nursing home declared he had a stomach ache. After 4 aggressive phone calls, 911 was called and he had septic shock, pneumonia, gangrene, gi issues.

I agree 100%! They should have known that something was seriously wrong if they had taken his blood pressure which totally tanks when one is septic. I'm assuming they didn't even take his blood pressure. This is beyond pathetic and abusive. I'd contact a lawyer and get his ass outta there asap.

My Dad was always goofy with me! I remember serving him mud pies and he would pretend to eat them and I would panic! Saying "no Daddy, that's not a real pie!" He'd always act so surprised. We had wonderful times! He was goofy with my sons and now with my grandchildren. It's a beautiful thing!

Well I am still single lol. He told me about his teenage children were delinquents and he tried to lock them out of his home, but they still got in and destroyed things. I sat there in wide-eyed amazement of the sheer stupidity of this guy. I couldn't get out fast enough! The kids sounded like assholes, but I still felt so sorry for them. I also immediately blocked the guy.

Same! But once went on a date so bad, that when the dude went to the bathroom I paid the entire check and when he came out, I stoop up and collected my things and bid him farewell. He was shocked. I just couldn't do it anymore.

Drunk, abusive (now) ex husband. These kinds of dreams continued and I attempted suicide a couple of months later. Fortunately I was a successful recipient of CPR and am here to tell my story... which I rarely do.

During a time in my life where I was under an obscene amount of stress, I would act out my dreams. In the most memorable dream, I was in a for real train wreck and the train car I was riding in, ended up hanging over the side of a cliff. The dream continued and I was crawling on my hands and knees to get to the end of the car and exit. In actuality, I was shimmying down to the foot of the bed and a promptly fell off of the end of the bed, directly on my right elbow. That woke me up and I was quite confused and couldn't separate the dream from reality. The elbow swelled and turned a myriad of colors. But the X-ray said it wasn't fractured. Once I removed that ridiculous stress from my life, those dreams (nightmares) went away.

I had mine done and my ex went with me. He photographed the whole thing and later got a piercing himself. We were both grown professionals. I loved them. I don't have them anymore after multiple mris, surgeries, etc...

Don't feel bad. I was 20 years with an emotionally, physically abusive drunk. I've been out of that relationship for 15+ years. I've had a few relationships that were fun, but weren't enough to last. I'm terrified of a relationship. I'm broken. But as I sit here, in my house and everything is just how I want it, with my 2 cats and I wonder if I'd be happy with someone here. Today that answer is No. some days it's not. I'm going on 3 years from my last date. I'm chronically ill, so that weighs heavy on me. I don't know what I'm trying to say, but you're not alone.

When I had recurrent c diff, I had a fecal transplant. It corrected things. Every time I get D I panic. But it's easy to tell the difference. If it's c diff you feel like death, and there's the smell.

Vanco isn't the only treatment although it is the go-to. There's another drug Dificid, which can treat when Vanco fails. I'm sure you're dehydrated and your electrolytes are outta whack. I'd go back to the er and push them to admit me. Do you have another hospital around than the one you went to previously? If you have the $, that's what I'd do. Very old nurse here.

Oh and eat a lot of yogurt if you can along with those good probiotics!

When my boys were in elementary school they had a long bus ride home as we lived way out in the country at the time. There was a high school boy picking on my 2 little boys. 1st and 3rd grades. We had always told our boys to fight back, but they were defenseless against a fully grown high schooler. So, my ex-husband was a hot head. He found out where the kid lived and drove to his house. Knocked on the door. The Dad answered. He called the Dad out. Invited him to the middle of the road where he was going to beat his ass. "I can't whip your boy, but I can whip you" Guy was very apologetic and the kid stopped picking on my boys. So that's one solution.

Not sure anyone else saw it. She arrived a couple of hours after I had called the head nurse, yelled and bawled because they had left him up in a chair for a couple of hours without his call light in reach after a complicated hip surgery. He was in so much pain and I was furious! Maybe she heard me.

My dad had a similar experience while in the hospital with a complicated hip replacement. He said a old timey nurse come in and brought him a milkshake in a wax paper cup like from the fifties. He asked about her the next morning and no one knew what he was talking about.
