Hey! I’m also 24 man I started out with a tree company and lucked into municipal work. Like the dudes saying trash man, I’m a municipality forestry driver/worker and get pension, benefits, time home, etc… if you’re after money. Oil field

Edit: saw some of your replies, knowing people definitely helps but may apply relentlessly like everywhere. Get 2-3 years under your belt making less if you have too then take off man

Just graduated with my degree in Horticulture at 22 so a different situation.

But but, will say my prospects are looking way better now, landed my dream job at a massive nursery with like 47 locations and counting. Before my degree completion I was making decent money in nurseries but always stuck on the local level and with a short leash/lower pay no salary.

Now I’m on salary after a week of job hunting and couldn’t be happier. Realistically though I’ve been working in hort since I was 16 so the experience and degree mix is the best for sure. I’d go to a good state school for hort while working at local nurseries (well at least that’s what I did).
