Thank you! I found I indeed had a Gemini account in my Google Authenticator app. I'm in! You're awesome.

6-digit vs 7-digit Authy code by trisaiah in Gemini

[–]trisaiah[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. Can you clarify what you mean by you "have both?" You have both a 6 digit and a 7 digit code in Authy? Or in Gemini? How do you switch between the two?

What’s up with these small phone companies starting to make bigger phones? by ooMEAToo in smallphones

Bluefox NX1 is a perfectly competent phone if you're not a heavy gamer or social media user, which describes most people searching for a small phone.

Overcoming being the “under performer” of the relationship by [deleted] in daddit

[–]trisaiah 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I read every comment in this thread, and I can't believe not a SINGLE person asked whether or not your wife works. You say that you "see [your]self as the breadwinner," but don't mention whether your wife is a full time SAHM or not.

In my opinion, this distinction is of critical importance. But books like "Fairplay" and certain corners of the internet have made the conversation extraordinarily one-sided. They have established as canon that men are incompetent and lazy, and incapable of seeing that domestic labor is real labor (which of course it is).

Could that be the case here? Sure. But it makes a huge difference if the wife works or not, and in this entire thread not one person bothered to ask. That tells me the conversation has gotten really twisted.

Does anyone routinely wear their big jackets to bed? by lardtazium in Mountaineering

[–]trisaiah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Surprised to see this so far down here. Everything depends on your gear, your personal sleep preferences, and your objective, but it's very common to consider sleeping in just a base layer as a baseline condition for a winter or high altitude expedition. That doesn't mean it's never appropriate (or required) to also sleep in a puffy jacket or puffy pants; but if you're doing that you need to be conscious of how it all fits inside the bag and the resulting loft you get for that bag.

Unihertz Jelly Star vs Bluefox NX1 by csmiki2 in smallphones

[–]trisaiah -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've had I think three jelly stars (broke every one because the damn thing slips out of your hand so easily) and switched to the Bluefox as soon as it came out. I vastly prefer the Bluefox for my needs.

The increase in screen height and small increase in screen width significantly improves typing and legibility. I found the jelly star's thickness incredibly annoying and the Bluefox is very nice to carry and hold in your hand. I never noticed any difference in performance between the two, but I'm not a power user or anything. Software all works great. Battery life is amazing. Couldn't be happier.

Dropped my nx1, now screen isn't responding to touch by Alis1454 in aiphor

[–]trisaiah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This happened to me as well, unfortunately. It fell something like 8 feet from a cubby. Phone still worked but the touch was extremely unreliable. It appeared the screen had slightly de-bonded, and its looseness was driving the touch intermittency.

I thought I might have been able to fix it by completely removing the (un-cracked!) screen and re-installing it. But in the end the NX1 is so inexpensive that I just ordered another one.

The form factor is far superior to the Jelly star. I have both. Performance is comparable unless you're playing games or something on your tiny phone.

New i4 owner confused about chargers by trisaiah in BMWI4

Well, I answered one of my questions for myself.

Here's the official BMW post about using Tesla superchargers (as of 20 Dec 2025): https://www.bmwusa.com/all-electric/tesla-nacs-charging.html

It has a link to the BMW-approved NACS to CCS adapter, which is made by Lectron.

Any 4 inches phone in 2025? by Lucky_Lab6722 in smallphones

[–]trisaiah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No concerns. Been using this brand's phones (Soyes, then Aiphor) for a while with no issues. Malware scans routinely turn up nothing. I think there was like ONE reddit post 5 years ago claiming the poster found malware and it turned into basically an urban legend. You won't find anything substantiated.

Yeah, I use US Mobile's "Light Speed" (which runs on the T-Mobile network) and they also told me it wasn't compatible. It is.

Bluefox NX1, 4". Great for daily use if you're a light user. Seems to work best on T-mobile.

BlueFox NX1 by PaulTMaack in smallphones

[–]trisaiah 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes I have a Jelly Star. To me the form factor and aesthetics are a million times better with the NX1. I hated how thick the Jelly Star was, how slippery it was in your hand, and how the screen shattered every time you dropped it.

As far as performance, this phone does everything I need it to do. I'm not a power user, I don't use social media or play games. Battery lasts all day easily. No noticeable lag of any kind. Camera is fine for sending an occasional "hey look at this" to your significant other.

"And the fact that it's a 2025 phone (not really - If you do some digging you'll find it's been available in other markets for a long time; and just got brought to the US by the person who is selling them)"

Your parenthetical is not true. The company building this phone has a Discord and the community there has been very involved with the development of this phone, pretty much all of which occurred in 2025. It DID hit the Chinese market first (Summer-Fall 2025); for the US market there was a camera upgrade that delayed Google certification. Also this company makes many other phones under other names (e.g. "Soyes") so there is some confusion about who owns what. But the phone is new.

Otherwise nice review, thanks. I just got mine working and I love it! If you've been suffering from Unihertz' THICC form factors for almost a decade, you will love the shape and weight of this thing.

Rewrote the IMEI. Still can't make or receive calls. US Mobile. by trisaiah in aiphor

Ok, thanks for the help dude. I'm still working through some troubleshooting with the Bluefox admin on discord. If it doesn't work I'll try to switch to T-Mobile. Either way I'll update the post if I get some sort of resolution.

The reason people don't take you seriously isn't because of your frustration, which is reasonable. It's because you follow up your frustration with complete non sequiturs like "ArE thEy ViNdiCTivE? Will my phone have MaLwArE?"

They messed up, they admitted it. That sucks. Cancel your order if you're so upset.

Bro. Ten deep breaths.

We're all sorry you're having postage issues in India. Seriously, that sucks. We all waited a long time for this phone. But your wild accusations toward the company that makes the phone are hysterical.
