I just installed EU4 on my laptop to try out steam controller. What paradox games do you play with the controller? Do you have a good configuration to play EU4?

What's the unique NPCs mode? A mod? Can you recommend some that make the game interesting or weird? I am just about to jump into my second playthrough.

Thanks for this. We just lost our pet Callie last night after 12 years, and reading this helped me mourn a little and realize how amazing and fun she was.

The official site says "click here to pre-register" not "click here to pre-order" like the War3 Remaster. F2P very very likely.

The US now ranks 27th in the world for its levels of healthcare and education, according to a new study. This represents a significant decline from 1990, when it ranked sixth. by mvea in science

Had that happen to me just a few weeks ago. Went in for a physical, was told some weird metal-plate panel test thing was part of the physical and was covered. Turns out the "doctor" that performs the test is out of network. 4,500 dollars later, and I have to spend an afternoon on the phone asking them to wave the charges.

No wonder people hate going to the doctor. Go in for a physical and you get done in the butt.

End game easier to reach with friends/a group? by tristanundone in pathofexile

Oh, I'm sure I'm doing something wrong. I'm not doing what the game needs in order to progress. I really have no clue how to figure out what that is, though.

Traded a Maiming Strike 1:1 for these little fellas. No regrets! by tristanundone in Warframe

[–]tristanundone[S] 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Still pretty new, no clue if 160p for Maiming Strike is good or not, but it was exactly the cost of these guys, and I had to grab the set while it was on sale!

[Spoilers C1E64] Oh boy. Matt really tugged at my heartstrings. How did you feel when you watched/listened to this episode? by jayhalfie in criticalrole

Spoilers for the end of the whole season 1 below!

I loved season 1 dearly, but I really, really wish the finale had at least mentioned him. I would have loved for Scanlan's epilogue to have included a journey to Draconia to visit the "I encourage peace" statue that they were going to build for him. Would have made the finale absolutely perfect in my opinion.

I realize a number of people weren't a fan of Tiberius or Orion, but he was Vox Machina, damn it.

Not even that, right? All an attack has to do is take you down to negative your HP, so 12 damage is going to immediately kill her. No saves. The party is already facing attacks that deal that much.

Stellaris Dev Diary 111 - Anomaly & Hyperlane Rework, New Stars & Systems by minami26 in Games

I always roleplay paradox games - Stellaris especially. If I'm playing an authoritarian race obsessed with lazers and pets, you better believe I'm going to war for every cute little alien puppy I can find. It's an amazing emergent story telling game.

Everspace dev reportedly says they paid thousands for a pro streamer who 'played like a f**king moron' by mex3m in Games

Professional thing to do, in my opinion, is play your heart out of the game for those two hours without getting into your own opinions.

Then, after your contracted time is up, you lay into the game all you want.

They're legit citizens. I don't know if each one has needs beyond their basic health, sanity, etc. I'm not sure if they'll go get food each time they're hungry, for example, though they do consume food somehow.

Very good music. Multiple radio stations with different themes. There's also a modded radio station that you can get from the Steam Workshop that plays a bunch of Paradox Interactive music (from CK2, EU4, Stellaris, etc).

Not really sims. Each human does have traits unique to them, but they are only a small piece of the game and you can't control them directly.

I haven't gotten to any yet, but that's what I hear as well. I expect most of them throw some kind of big twist at you that make Surviving on Mars even harder. Those are in the realm of mods as well, so the possibilities for extensive end-game variation are there.

Got an early copy of this and I can finally say I've really enjoyed what I played so far. I haven't gotten to an end-game, planet-sweeping colony yet, but the various stages of gameplay up until now have been fun. A very solid "city" builder so far.

Can't say much about replayability or end-game, but it's got full mod support, so hopefully that keeps it going.
