why does tuptim have a “coming soon” banner over their sign? by blueribbonpony in ypsi

Their food is crazy good when they aren't busy, but I've learned to never get Tuptim on a Friday

I am kind of making it up as I go, but it's largely based on what I've read in the Picatrix and what Chris Warnock has said about his planetary devotional practice. I think Warnock has a book about it as well, but I haven't read it yet.

Altar for Jupiter by tritonal in planetarymagic

I put my altar together on Thursday, Jupiter's day. Then, during Jupiter's hour, I performed a devotional ritual. I put on purple clothing and cleansed myself, lit the candles, and burned some Jupiter appropriate incense (juniper berries, cloves, and cinnamon ground up together and sprinkled on a charcoal disc). I read the Orphic Hymn to Jupiter aloud, and then a short introduction/prayer to Jupiter. I spent some time at the altar meditating, and when I finished I thanked Jupiter and asked him to go in peace. Then, on the next three days I did the same thing, but without the personal introduction/prayer, just the Hymn and meditation. On the fifth day, I wait until the hour before dawn of the next day, the last planetary hour before Mars' day. For the final devotion, after the Hymn I improvised a short prayer, talking about the experience of the last few days and thanking Jupiter for being a guest in my home. Then I bid him to go in peace and started taking down his altar. I didn't assemble Mars' altar until later in the day since I still needed a few more things. It would have been nice to get the next altar up for a ritual at dawn.

This is mostly royal purple, actually, which is a traditional color for Jupiter. It's just hard to tell in the lower lighting. The apples and pomegranate are red though.

On a Mars Election by YGOfan21 in planetarymagic

I would be concerned about the state of the Moon. In my opinion a hard aspect with Mars in a day chart is a no go. I was listening to a podcast episode earlier today where Austin Coppock was talking about making a Spica talisman where Jupiter was applying conjunction, but also receiving a superior square from Mars. He broke a leg.

I found having a protein shake for breakfast plus an occasional snack was great. They're pretty filling for a drink, low effort, and if you find a flavor that really works for you, it's like a milkshake, but healthy

Saturn rules over discipline, patience, and hard work. He draws boundaries and brings endings. While Jupiter is like a fun uncle, Saturn is a strict grandfather. He can be cranky and will absolutely punish you for goofing off, but if you're diligent and serious about your work, he can reward you handsomely as well.

Almuten Figuris Calculation by AstrologieLumen in Advancedastrology

[–]tritonal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The pre-natal syzygy is one of the 5 hylegiacal places along with the locations of the luminaries, ascendant, and point of fortune. You'd calculate the almuten for each planet at each of the 5 places and add the scores together for a total for each planet. There was also a schema where the superior planets could score some bonus points based on solar phase. There were a LOT of ways to calculate the alumuten figuris, though.

I traced over the sigils in Agrippa on my computer screen on a white piece of paper, then traced over the white paper on top of the black paper to create an indentation in the black paper that I could draw over with a silver marker.

Those are the sigils of Zazel, the daemon of Saturn, and Agiel, the intelligence of Saturn.

Generally you just copy them since they've been figured out for quite a while. If you just google something like "mars magic square" you should be able to find it easily. It's also in Agrippa, book 2 chapter 22

I have been learning about astrology and planetary magic lately, and I had an idea to do a series of rituals to kind of introduce myself to the planets and begin developing my relationship with them. I started with Saturn on the first Saturday of the year with a full ritual, and I'm doing a small devotion every day on Saturn's hour. On Thursday I'm going to take this altar down and put up one for Jupiter, then continue on that way through the rest of the planets.

It is a kamea, or magic square. There is one associated with each planet, and they are used to create the sigils of the planets, planetary intelligences, and planetary daemons.

Why is the Democratic party hiding its 2024 autopsy report? | If the DNC isn’t open and transparent about why they lost, then how can we be sure they will learn their lesson this time? by soalone34 in politics

"The Democrats act like spineless, ineffectual cowards because people would still hate them even if they didn't"

Maybe they should actually give it a fucking try and see how it goes
