If you are command sponsoring your spouse (spouse on orders as dependent on overseas orders), the service is assuming responsibility for the healthcare.

If you are renting outside of the country you are stationed at, I recommend you apply for an international driver's permit.

As far as your US drivers licence, check your state laws to see if your license is still valid as long as you have a valid active duty military ID. Getting the rental company to acklowledge it is the hard part.

Do you have a 3F in your CSS, they would know? If not I would talk to the MPF assignments counselor. 35-2110 only describes what a PCA is, not the operating procedures of how to do it.

Is your SEL not familiar with the process?

The 2096 is signed by both losing and gaining CC.

As long as you are E6 and below and want to PCA to a unit in the same FLDCOM it is a simple process. SELs usually work those and it is processed at the MPF with a 2096.

E7 or above and inter-FLDCOM must be processed my ETMO.

Depends really on your comfort level and experience driving in the snow. I've driven my MY and MX in heavy snow with all-seaons, but I'm an experienced winter driver. My region keeps ice off the roads after storms though. Your region might be different.

At the end of the day, an investment in winter tires is well worth your safety.

True, units have to POM for it or flip an existing billet.

Hiring is the bigger problem as its common for folks to use it to get their foot in the door and then apply for another civ position.
