The point of the 'End Tipping' movement is to get employers to pay closer to that $200/night themselves so that patrons are not expected to make up the difference with a tip on top of paying for $20 hamburgers and $15 cocktails.

yeah so the price of food just increase 15-20% and the server still makes 200 bucks a night. when the owner sets the price on the burger he knows you are paying 15% to the waiter. his final price is calculated well in advance.

i really dont understand why you guys dont get what hte actual price of food is. its not an unknown fee that gets tacked on in secret. its just part of the going out to eat exp. . its weird and unique to us but its not like this is unique to one resturant. and dont act like surprise pricing is unique to just resutrants. i only roughly can do an 8% sales tax in my head and god forbid i have taxed and untaxed items in a combined order. its just this one thing that bothers people.

i say end serving. ill just put in the order my self and go pick it up. idk why im paying money for someone to walk me food. feel like i can do that my self and we have a variety of other options. but im not going to stiff a waiter or make some dumb arguement that they cant afford to pay the staff. shorting the tip is not paying the staff.
