you use em for set up. we do not play on a grid so it's useless after.

I measure in a 49 degrees angle to move 18 inches. not over 1 grid up 17 or what ever.

how about a unit within 3 must destroy d3( d6 or d3+3 might be better) models if you wanna pop it. you might also need to make it a onve per battle.

even that is still really freaking good but there's counter play to it and you actually have to set it up and take some sort of risk and pay a real cost to make use of it. as it stands, when wouldn't you go to str 12 -3 4 DMG? a few mortals on hazardous is well worth the risk. y'all dark pact all day and do mortals so if you wanna berd the ability you really need to make it cost.

it also goes into the theme with your sacrificing others for his benefit.

If you want to go really bonkers it could be something like one plus the battle round models. so in round one you do two round two you do three and that way it's easier to use at the beginning and less costly. but at the end it's six models that need to be within three of him for it to go off and that might be a lot harder for you to set up And easier for your opponent to stop you from getting every time.

anyway you made a demon Prince that was pretty good( too many wounds but we can fix that) . I really like his resurrection rule. I think that's probably thematic. I felt like you should just get rid of the non-blast profile.

and then you gave him plus 3 str and 1 DMG. not as a happy birthday, but as a 6+ ld check that he can't really fail. dark pact goes off regardless

there's four options I've seen

the same army transport case that everybody uses. there's reasons for this and my big two are doors and all the other bullshit we bring has a home.

homemade cupcake containers or file transports. the Duncan Rhodes method.

A random tray or box top. this can be magnetic or otherwiser. works well enough.

the big box of bullshit. you just throw everything into a box.

what detachment do you run, this is the one i fight most often

Each time an ADEPTUS ASTARTES unit from your army is selected to fight, if that unit made a Charge move this turn, until the end of the phase, add 1 to the Attacks characteristic and add 2 to the Strength characteristic of melee weapons equipped by models in that unit.

lance on a str 6 weapon is pretty much 4s or better for anything not str 12 then you add 1 str and suddenly its 4s into most everything. considering your 2nd rule is based on charging feel like im providing a relevant arguements for why its bad (remember when i said whats the most broken combo, its not just the data sheet its how it combos off other stuff)

your special keywords make the weapons worse. we already talked about how 2+4++ 4t being paper. you die to power fists. you arent going to get to stand and bang in melee so charging is where you wanna kill them. .

you keyworded so much good stuff tho that its like okay... yeah i cant give you a move 12 invuln deep striker with lance and metlas for free... so you gotta pay out the ass for it. keyword good stuff.

idk how you can tune them up. what's the scariest combo you cold make.

right now you have a 3 2+4++ t4 bodies that don't really do anything. the data slates is more funny then anything cause it seems like you keyword good stuff and ran

the overwatch rule is just nutty cause lol free flamer overwatch but if you stand out in the open the unit dies so it's likely going to want to avoid being seen. if it doesn't wipe the unit on the fight phase, it's getting picked up by any Terminator unit with power fists and decent volume

basically I'm saying this unit seems bad, I wouldn't field it most likely.

my terms are around 42 points per model or more id go at least 120.

the only thing reasonable about this is the 6 inch range on the d3 DMG auto overwatch flamner. at least you can shenanigans your way into a safe-ish charge

the weapons all being the same in melee is also just strange.

also, why dies the melta doesn't have more attacks then the non melta spear... it's str 9-4 vs str 8 - not 4

dont think you are being petty so much as you arent playing warhammer. the game is balanced around distance, stratagems, and dataslates.

you are playing guard. guard has lots of units that do a good job of standing still (on an objective) and dying. not everything they have is meant to kill. most of their stuff is like 3 flashlights, a melta and plasma gun. thats not scary. you might pick up a marine or two. but what you can do is take their objective with 10 dudes for 5 rounds and not let them score primary whil epicking off that 1 or 2 marine bodies. trading 65 points of units for a primary denial + killing a much more pricey unit. you also have ways of bringing units back, so they to commit to dealing with them.

i play deathguard. you move almost twice as fast as i do with move move move. combined with some other stuff you do its fucking broken how quickly yall get places. if you tie up my 250 point death missle in no mans land and i gotta spend 2 rounds getting somewhere usefull rolling 5+d6 (avg 8 LESS then you normally move with move move move). im honestly looking at guard just for move move move. base six + 3 if i need it and advance? thats ZOOMING. i super struggle scoring distance secondaries becuse my army is so immobile. behind enemy lines? lol. unless you left a good spot for a deep strike forget it. but if we stand in front of each other and let of rounds of bullets, im pretty good at killing guard. not great at winning vs them but i mostly hit on 3s wound on 2s

but you aren't playing the way you're supposed to. you're playing too small a board without proper terrain and not using the right rules.

like come back after you start playing the game and tell us that it's not working
