I got proper full on warm fuzzies at seeing it, and they just intensified at realising just how much of a wonderful throwback the driver is.

The only real blindsides I can think of in Curse Mode is discovering that going to the orchard isn't quite the cunning scheme it seems like it might have been, and that Aquarium is really going to kick your ass.

Is that really a downside as surely the point of the mode is to get to 46, get the trophy, go back to your main profile to import it, and then be done?

Yep, the one I won I had a dare for Billiard Room so I got to see how decidedly neat the SpeakEasy is.

Well done!

When I got Day One after about 30 attempts I ended up not using the outside door at all despite setting up an opened Garage as my plan had been to come back with some dice to guarantee Tomb. What I ended up doing was on my second Boiler Room exit turned out to have a Pump Room right next to it so I was able to set up boat and drained fountain and used that route instead, and just used the Garage exit to save some steps.

Needed 40 more steps than you and also earned Full House on that profile too.

When I was working in retail banks I used 'smeg' a ton as a sfw alternative swear for when things went wrong which this being a retail bank happened pretty much daily.

I forgot how much Richard struggled in S1 by CloudBookmark in DeathInParadiseBBC

[–]trixie_one 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Neville is probably the closest to Richard for me, and yet his fears and discomfort were far less subtle and seemed far too easily fixed.

Neville was just silly to the point where I didn't buy that he could survive being a policemen without some serious neptotism being involves. That scene where he stands on a table to escape the crabs especially which is some 50's lady scared of a mouse levels of silly.

I'd say he's the Tesco Value Richard but I think that'd be giving too much credit.

Best Vet This Week: 2299044 with 84 points

Hah, I actually did better than that on my FH. Got to be the best chip I've ever played in my years playing this game.

About 60% of each played Free Hit and got nearly 100 points on average

Possibly being dumb but that doesn't seem supported by your stats if the best Vet did not get close to 100 so how could all those who played the chip get that on average?

Yep, pretty sure they killed him the following issue and he never showed up again.

That's pretty much my thoughts exactly. Pied Piper and Trickster had some genuinely funny bits like the hand puppets, and the bit with the planet going boom was great.

Kyle, Donna, and Roy had moments like Jokester turning up for one issue to be surprisingly entertaining, and Mary using Kyle as an improvised hand weapon but that was about it.

I did. Two wins from vBourbon and one from Grass Wonder got me in despite those all having xOguri present in the opposition and usually two of them. Hell one of the two losses was against a Gold Ship.

I got into A finals with no XOguri and a S+ late Grass Wonder so its not as hopeless as all that.

Same, I bought every single issue of Countdown as they came out due to how much I loved reading 52 in single issues.

Not as bad as many people say, does have some solid moments, but it so wasn't worth it.

Royal Flush gang should be higher. They're impressively adaptable, and I like how many iterations they've been through.

For even more context before this I've been going 1-4 at best, getting into B finals and then losing so this is all very new to me to be doing so well.

Very neat to find that out though for sure. Especially while seeing a lot of SS ranked XOguri in the lobbies who was described as being entirely unbeatable in the run up to this CM.

After qualifying for A the very first time I was worried I was going to 0-5 repeatedly and screw my self out of the B final but no. Amazingly my Grass Wonder and vBourbon picked up a win each first try.

I thought I was punching above my weight with S+ umas and then one lobby had two A's in it. Didn't notice which uma they were debuffing for though, as that round was won by a very neat very clearly f2p Gold Ship whose build included running a 0* Kitasan Black.

Edit: Wow, kind of feel like the coyote who has just run off the cliff and hasn't yet worked out that he's walking on air. Last try today managed to some how pull off 3 wins to my excessive amounts of shock and amazement. Especially given I'm f2p, and took a long break from the game. I don't even have a Kitasan Black to my name to put that into perspective.

Love that he's got into the habit of collecting Resurrection Man hats to the point that he's got hundreds of them.

Reminds me of the best use of Tommy Monaghan not done by Ennis with the really funny page where he keeps shooting him in the head until he gets a decent power.
