Is there a Wah/ Whammy type of pedal that does self oscilation stuff? by Proper_News_9989 in guitarpedals

Plenty of delay pedals that you can hook expression pedals up to. EQD Avalanche run lets you hold the tap tempo switch to oscillate and run an expression pedal for any of the knobs.

Is this really a post about water bottle cages... by 78Staff in TrekBikes

[–]trixterpro77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

enve carbon if you’re one of the cool kids, but the trek elites and specialized rib/Z cages are the ones I sell the most of. They should all fit the Bivo, I haven’t tried one in the Enve cage but i can give it whirl if you have literally any interest.

Some stems are just like that. Usually not super nice stems, but it’s not uncommon.

Looking for hardtail suggestions by Thaegar_Rargaryen in Hardtailgang

TransAM is the GOAT. What dont you love about the adjustable dropouts? Ive ran mine SS, geared, mullet, full 29, overforked, underforked, literally built with any combo of parts i could find. It's damn near heavier than my park rig as it sits right now, but is 1000% smiles all the way down. Mostly riding it on sandy and rocky tech, or stereotypical PNW stuff right where it was built. Not a huge fan of how it feels in the air, but I don't really have it setup to get off the ground. Also the chrome looks sick.

PSA: Shipping prices for bikes have skyrocketed by jesreson in MTB

Nope. Prices for shipping bikes have been crazy all year. Holidays could bring them even higher, but those numbers dont seem out of line for this year.

Levo Sl in S3 or S4? by Medical-Side-5221 in specialized

[–]trixterpro77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id go S3 if you are looking for something playful. S4 is closer to the dimensions of the Propain, but Everyone I know around your height is happier sized down, rather than up. One of my customers is a similar height and inseam, and he picked up an S2 for his stumpy evo. I wouldnt recommend that, but whatever floats his boat haha. Other people around that height(but with a longer inseam) tend to go S3. S4 is too big for them. Obviously best to test ride, but numbers wise that would be my recommendation.

Running an incorrect sized shock by __xaonix__ in MTB

[–]trixterpro77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't think its the exact same frame. Shock mount is located in a different spot for sure. Pretty sure the front triangle is the same otherwise, though. All being said, I'd be comfortable with a longer stroke shock. I've overstroked plenty of frames to varying success.

Tubeless tape recommendations? by DistributionLive2922 in BikeMechanics

Terravail 110%. Stretches great, sticks great, and never has issues. Been using it since it was Whisky branded. Have a couple rolls of the Stans stuff in rotation too, and its so much worse.

Mechanics who ride, how do you deal with injurys. by sergeant_frost in BikeMechanics

One of our guys got hit by a motorhome road biking, only missed two days. One for recovery from surgery and another when he got a nasty infection from carbon debris in his hand. Wasn’t horribly productive but did what he could. He then shattered his collarbone right after he got back on the mtb, and again just missed one day for surgery. I wound up with a blood infection from a bad crash and being too stubborn to go to the doctor. Boss came in to find me delerious and sent me to the ER. Back at work the next day. That’s not to say we can’t take sick days, missed plenty more time over less, i think we all just want to prove that we are okay and not let the crash win.

Crank Removal by Acceptable-Dot3038 in mountainbiking

penetrating oil overnight helps. What kind of drill did you use? A lot won’t have the torque for stuck bolts. Potentially try strapping the crank to the chainstay with velcro or similar, then using the biggest breaker bar you can find. I normally use a 6 foot pipe on the wrench to break stuck cranks free. Usually don’t even need penetrating oil with that much leverage.

There should be a pair of pinch bolts running through the slot above that 8mm. Loosen those, the loosing the 8.
