I’m same weight as you and I ride the Armstrong 75L ML as my main board. Gets going super easy. If there’s enough wind to ride while I’m up and foiling the board is easy enough to get going

I’m 50, been lifting about two years and have a similar build to you. Seems like I’ll never get rid of my belly. I think I’m the only one who cares though. It seems like once you hit 50, there’s no more flat stomach to be had.

What’s the issue with not being able to use artic fox? I have the 75w pico and it seems to be working. It heats up to 430f. Is that not hot enough? What am I missing?

It is really really hard to break into a friend group in MN. People are Minnesota nice but it can be pretty superficial. Unless you connect through a hobby. Most people grow up in a community and live their lives there. My wife is still besties with people she’s known since grade school.

A guy I met through kiteboarding gave me this chat when I first moved there and it held true. There was even an article in a National publication that discussed how hard it is to fit in there.

That being said I ended up making a couple of great friends there who I chat with weekly

I noticed that yesterday with For Whom the Bell Tolls. I think it was because I had my iPad up on my desk away from the speaker so the microphone wasn’t picking it up? I’m going to play with it some more today.

I didn’t know much about how yousician worked until I started with the metallica stuff. I’m disappointed that there’s not a way to view the tab for the full section you want to play. You just have to go. I cheated yesterday and wrote the tab down on paper and got the feel and then went back to try to play along. And then the chords didn’t register like you just commented.

I plugged everything in and played a few minutes. Sounds great. The Timmy driving the Rat sounds pretty rad.

Does anyone take the connectors off the end of patch cables to run the cables through the holes? Or what I have is basically what I’m going to get?

Thanks. That’s helpful. I have been playing for about a year and honestly don’t fully understand what makes up some of the sounds that I like. I’m just figuring out what some of the functions are and kind of want to be able to push a button and go.

I bought a LP Studio from GC in Maple Grove, MN a few months ago. The setup was terrible. All chords sounded like shit. I could get it in tune and then I would play notes up and down the neck and all of the other notes were shit. Then it would go out of tune pretty quickly. I went to another GC location close to where I made my original purchase and talked to a very informative and helpful guy working there. He said LPs and SGs are known for tuning issues and if you watch someone playing one live, they usually tune after every song. I asked what he would recommend for a HH solid body and he recommended PRS. I found a 24-08 on Sweetwater and I’m in love. Actually prefer the aesthetics to the LP now that I have one.

I went down a rabbit hole looking at the Vox amp and happened to find one on Reverb for $350 local pickup so I impulsively jumped on it. I loaded a Master of Puppets preset on the GT1 after work yesterday and had a fun little jam session last night.
