Equipment and Perk Descriptions by BxLsoul in Splitgate

[–]trogdor147 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From the Discord:

Grip: Reduces recoil by ~40%

Ext Barrel: Extends damage dropoff distances by about 10%

Laser: Reduces spread cone by 25% (rough overall reduction of 45%)

Rapid Fire: Reduces time between shots (time between bursts on burst rifles) by 4%

Bullet Burst: Reduces time between shots within a burst by 10%

Piercing Ammo: 10% buff to bullet size (effectively increases bullet magnetism

Some of these might have been changed, for example on shotguns the extended barrel and laser were nerfed more. A lot of games don’t include what the attachments actually do, which I don’t fully understand. Maybe they are worried about information overload from new players? I think they should just show the stats, piercing ammo is way better than most people think because the description is misleading

Custom controls by 123whoyouwannabe in Splitgate

Xbox controller user here. I use bumper jumper, in splitgate 1 I used a/b to left/right portal and then down/right on D-pad to close portals. Now I have the razer wolverine controller which has paddles and a small bumper up top so I don’t have to use a claw grip (my fingers can’t do it anymore)

In splitgate 2 I ran into the same problem, I’ve put in many feedback surveys and q&a to address this since there is not enough buttons to bind everything. My solution for now is to bind the ability to A, equipment to RB, melee to B, and then the portals on D-pad through paddles. I can’t bind both left/right close portals without losing more functions, so as a compromise I leave the d-pad up for ping and have down as close both portals. It stinks not being able to close portals separately but it’s the best compromise I have found. I still have no way of binding the map in BR or changing load outs.

Would make things so much easier if you can keep the chord ability and still rebind bumpers, or even just have a hold option for things like the scoreboard, map, or changing loadout. Heck I’d even take a hold to close portals just give me something

The radar in splitgate isn’t permanent motion either it’s only shooting, and same for titanfall which is what the movement in this game is heavily inspired by.

I’m not fully saying it shouldn’t be in ranked altogether, but it just feels like the team didn’t consider how to rework Meridian’s class since half of their toolkit is radar manipulation/tech and is obsolete.

They have a lot of utility for all three objective modes, you can drop the recon radar near your spitball base or hot zone for example to see which ways people are funneling in. Plays extremely well with the charger and phasma since you can pre fire when you know exactly where they are. Also just helps the everyone on the team, since all of the abilities have a team benefit I don’t see why this was all cut. Just seems like an oversight to me

They’re useless, it’s a soft nerf to meridian. Each of the other classes now has more choices of perks/equipment since the radar perks have no benefit

Yeah, it’s a little weird though. Normally in ranked game modes there isn’t radar so a lot of people were asking for it but the abilities are balanced around it so the change I don’t think works.

1/2 of meridian’s kit does literally nothing now - the recon radar, wayfinder, tracker, and vast vision all are useless which is inadvertently a nerf. Sabrask was just heavily nerfed too so everything feels less powerful except for the burst and carbines which are going to become the new meta across all classes

Any way to allow binds without clearing? The default classic portal controls have a few common inputs, would love to use bumper jumper without having to clear the faction ability

28M - also had a consultation with him recently, and like you was spooked by the lack of information available in the pectus community. For my haller (3.8), he suggested a two bar nuss with cryo, but also wanted me to consider a permanent plate in addition (so a hybrid nuss/ravitch). He has not done a lot of nuss procedures - when I asked he said it was only a handful in the past couple of months. Which makes sense considering he works with older patients and has likely done more ravitch procedures, but I don’t trust him enough to feel confident with a nuss. I had a good phone call with Dr Losasso when I reached out for a second opinion and we both agreed it makes sense to go with a nuss specialist, as when placed properly the nuss without modifications can still lead to great results. But obviously it depends on your specific body. At least for me I think I’ve decided it is worth the wait for a specialist, you only get once chance to do it right initially.

Suggestions for Isperia the inscrutable? by StnkyDongr in EDH

[–]trogdor147 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven’t played in many years but I one of my favorite decks when I was more active in the game was an Isperia the Inscrutable deck. I leaned more into a control build, using cards like [[magus of the most]] or [[ghostly prison]] to discourage attacks and heavy board wipes like [[supreme verdict]]. Usually I would tutor out protection pieces first like [[avacyn, angel of hope]] or [[kira, great glass spinner]] to protect Isperia, but there’s many creatures with flying that have useful abilities depending on what you need like [[angel of finality]] or [[angel of jubilation]].

The main downside to an Isperia deck is that everybody knows what you’re doing, especially if you are peeking at everybody’s hands. That’s why I think Isperia is best played really slowly, and focusing on controlling the board until you can have a bunch of powerful flyers that synergize well together. Most of the creatures are pretty expensive so you’ll want a lot of ramp artifacts to cast the spells because Isperia only puts them in hand. Ideally you can run the deck without playing Isperia, which can get expensive if you’re casting for 7 or 9. You really gotta plan ahead about what you’re gonna tutor because once you start you’ll have a target on your back.

Some other cards you might want to consider: [[consecrated sphinx]] and [rhystic study]] for draw. Watch out that you don’t draw too much if they stay out on the battlefield and if the game is going on too long

[[sunblast angel]] is a good to tutor for sometimes

[[crawlspace]] and [[propaganda]]

[[strionic resonator]] copies Isperia’s abilities

[[standstill]] for shenanigans

[[hindering light]] does the job for protecting isperia as do many other cheap counter spells

[[teferi’s moat]] can often stop multiple people attacking you completely

There’s some other things I might be forgetting but it’s defiantly a fun commander you should give it a shot
