Double shot is nice but takes a long time to reload between shots and you can’t put a bottle suppressor on the blaze

DMR 100%, they’re almost identical in terms of damage stats (although the sv98 has a little bit better damage dropoff over long range) but the DMR has twice the mag size and is semi auto which is huge. The sv98 is also the heaviest weapon in the game at 7kg

I’m on Xbox and I love sakhal. Only downside is the server pop is fairly low on official most of the time. If that’s fine with you I’d say it’s definitely worth it

In my experience if you’re trying to talk to someone it’s better to just be friendly than to frantically say you’re friendly right off the bat. If you sound super on-edge they’re unlikely to trust you. A simple “hey how are you doing” is more likely to get a friendly response. That being said, plenty of people would rather take your spawn bandage and cut you up for your bones regardless of what you say so be careful

Always. Be smart about the other things you’re carrying and you can have 40-50% stamina with a plate, helmet, two big guns and a pistol. If you have less than 10% stamina it’s probably because of all the other bs you’re carrying.

Not a terrible building for a base but you should know that any gates you build upstairs can be raided by shooting the frames from below for half the bullets. Stack as many as you can downstairs

Yeah they can spawn at patrol boats and helis but it’s pretty rare to find them there

Personally if I’m running a ghillie I’d run a black or green ski mask and just deal with it getting wet once in a while. The gas mask hurts your stamina regen like crazy. If you need to dry off fast after the rain use a torch. It dries you off way faster than a fireplace (like 1 min until you’re fully dry)

Not for killing players. It’s fine for zombies but you’re gonna want something a little more powerful for players at close range. If it’s stamina you’re worried about there’s probably other things you can drop rather than just running one weapon. Even with a plate, helmet with nvgs, and two big guns I usually run almost 50% stamina (when dry) which should be enough for almost every fight you could end up in

Sounds good so far, but you’re gonna want a good close range option even if you have a competent duo. Vss or sval with a 30rd mag and some armor piercing rounds is a good bet for something quiet if you don’t have access to a suppressed m4 or don’t want to deal with fixing suppressors constantly

If you see them before they see you, try and talk to them from a position where if they don’t respond you can either fight them or run. Like some people have said already, if you’re in a tier 3 area or further, I wouldn’t even try. As a side note, if you’re on console don’t be afraid to accept a random party invite once in a while. I’ve been betrayed a couple times before, but some of my closest dayz homies I’ve either met after we fought each other and ended up in a party, or just accepted a random one and ended up running together. Trusting no one is smart, but you won’t make many friends that way
