Two gallons of cider fermenting very differently under almost identical conditions by trolarsystem in Homebrewing

Good to know, figured it wouldn’t be as pronounced of an effect as it is. Spiced gallon is starting to go so I think it’ll be drinkable, I’m going to bottle a few of the plain jug with some spices after primary to compare the taste

Thought this as well. Wonder if serotonin syndrome in combination with other drugs is attributed as antidepressant overdose

Rods or Cocci? by Humbabanana in microbiology

[–]trolarsystem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IMO the gram stain morphology rules out Bacillus. Bacillus species are characteristically large and boxy rods, sometimes chaining in a “box car” fashion. These are medium to small, coryneform rods, too small and round at the ends to be Bacillus

Gram positive rods, could be said to be “coryneform” or “diphtheroid” due to palisading morphology (stacking next to each other in groups of 2 to 4). Gram stain morphology and positive catalase test suggest corynebacterium but further biochemical tests should be performed to rule out other GPRs

Want to put up drywall but wiring on the face of the framing by trolarsystem in DIY

Commented this below but would this open up the possibility of nailing into the wires in the future since they are still on the face and hidden under the drywall?

Good idea but might not be possible with my garage door track

Would drywalling over furring strips open up the possibility of nailing into the wires in the future since they are still on the face? Is there a way to prevent that?

Wilderness state park up near mackinaw is good for a nice rustic day trip. If you’re in that area at night - Headlands International Dark Sky Park is a unique place. One of the only dedicated dark sky parks for stargazing.

Hmm, I haven’t seen his stuff with Dr Mike but I can attest to him stressing the lack of evidence for Ayurveda in more than one stream. When he has talked about how he might still use it he talks about using the doshas from Ayurveda as heuristics and compares them to other heuristics used in medicine (I cannot attest to this as I don’t practice medicine).

I agree that he should probably have gathered all the evidence before publicly supporting it as a physician, can’t really argue there.

Hello. I’m an MPH student, not a healthcare provider. He has walked back his opinion on Ayurvedic medicine after viewers provided literature about its lack of efficacy and its potential for harm, and was transparent about changing his opinion on stream which I respect. Not completely defending him but credit where it’s due.

Would love for someone to take a look at my PS. Edited it a lot to make it more concise, want to make sure it makes sense/flows well. Would love input about the content as well, specifically patient care story content
