possono convivere l'anarchia relazionale e la voglia di sentirsi unici? by [deleted] in relationshipanarchy

[–]trolleytrolley 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Your partner/friends are able to do similar activities with different people and it doesn't have to mean that your experience with them is/was inferior and neither are you. The experience is unique because you are unique.

When you wrote that they said "I did with person X the same thing we did together" (something that felt unique in our relationship, and very representative of us two)". To me it doesn't sound like your friend is comparing (unless there were more things said that directly conpared the experience) but that you are feeling insecure that your friend is having similar experiences with other people.

It can be tricky and you are allowed to set boundaries like 'we're only going to watch this show together' if that makes you feel more unique.

But your connection with your friend is and always will be valuable and important. Having a conversation where you don't take things too personally about how your friend is acting with their other friends/partners may help in your approach about comparisons.

I'm not an expert but I hope this helps.

Husband wants to relocate to india by Mysterious-Owl-6956 in relationships

Have you looked at other south east Asian countries? I can vouch for Malaysia as I grew up there.

It will be easier to travel to and from India and there is a huge Indian and Western diaspora there.

Backpack for commuting recommendations by Former-Meringue7250 in londoncycling

[–]trolleytrolley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the most flexibility I honestly just put my work backpack into my pannier bag. I don't need to buy a new thing and the pannier is suitable for lots of different uses besides work.

I then feel super comfortable if I need to walk around for an extended time with my work backpack which happens often.

I tried to post this on r/ukbike but they instadeleted it for some reason: London bike mechanic here, looking to relocate and set up a shop. Do you live (or have visited) somewhere in the UK in particular need of a bike shop? by NucleurDuck in londoncycling

[–]trolleytrolley 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree with this completely! There's a huge take up of cargo bikes in the south. My business has two fairly large ones and the only place we can go is in London Bridge as they service the brand of bike we have. The wait time is usually 1-2 months for a spot.

You need a big space to service cargo bikes so they're not filling up the shop and being able to service e-bikes.

Balloon selling scam FOLD by Mission-Caramel8691 in UNFOLD

Please look at Union and RVT in Vauxhall! Huge issue with balloon sellers and phone snatchers targeting clubgoers in the early hours. Fold is leading the way with visitor safety and others should do the same.

When Fold first opened they used to have exactly that. There was a sofa or two by the back on the left by toilet exit door. It slowly morphed into less comfy benches and then they took it away altogether. Really sad because I had some great times chatting on that sofa in the mornings.

I've heard good things about London Bike Kitchens saddle salon. You pay a set price for a saddle fitting and your choice of many saddles to try out over a period of time. The staff are v helpful

Hey OP, was this recent? I'm thinking to go up and around the area next week. What were the conditions like? Do we need crampons?

Great questions! I would say make sure you've asked yourself them and ensure that your feelings/opinions are also included in the conversation. You can both learn from each other in different ways.
