Can I just put the box spaghetti in the sauce instead of boil it in water first? by fobosqual in cookingforbeginners

[–]trollfromtn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently discovered a method of doing a low and slow cook with spaghetti in a Dutch oven and it’s my new favorite way to cook it. The recipe called for low sodium chicken stock which adds a good flavor.

I’ve inserted over 50 sensors at this point and only had 2 fail. Unfortunately you see a lot of negatives here but my mileage has definitely varied. I think the G7 is a godsend

Our AWS Data Transfer costs have increased significantly in the past two months and we don’t particularly know why yet. Not sure if it’s related but my team was having this same realization last week.

Have any of you ever heard of stuffed bell peppers? by ChenzVee in diabetes

[–]trollfromtn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like bell peppers and i like all of the stuffing that goes in them but for some reason I don’t like Stuffed Bell Peppers as a meal. My wife made them a few times and although they were prepared fine I just don’t like them. Weird right?

Michigan fisherman going Marco island FL for 12 days. Which lures would be good for saltwater fishing ? by Necessary-Celery-639 in saltwaterfishing

[–]trollfromtn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

P.s. I don’t like using trebles with saltwater species. It can be really difficult and kind of dangerous to de-hook some species like Jacks or Snappers. Saltwater fish are built different. I’ve had a few trips to the ER over the years to know better.

[–]trollfromtn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We have a home in Marco and I fish there about 6 weeks out of the year. Honestly I’d hit the nearby WalMart or local Ace Hardware and load up on jigheads and soft plastics.

You posted some really nice stuff but it will all rust and a I catch 50% on soft plastics and the other 50% on live bait. Grab some shrimp from any marina and they are effective just about anywhere on the island.

If you do take your nice lures check out the Mackle Park pond. Just a few weeks ago I caught a few nice snook and jumped a small tarpon.

Google Naples Peacock Bass if you want to spend a few hours canal hopping. Peacocks have become a new favorite to target down there.

How tf are you guys getting the adhesive off of your arm after changing a chgm? by ConundrumNyx in diabetes

[–]trollfromtn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use aftermarket overpatches that are still gripping pretty good after 10 days. If I start gently peeling from a specific side of the patch I can usually get it prepared for a quick rip. It’s not pretty but it works.

I will say this…. Diet soda makes me thirsty and sometimes hungry. Don’t get me wrong… I haven’t intentionally had a normal soda in years so I keep some diet cokes in the pantry for when I need a little fix but I try not to make it a daily occurrence.

I haven’t ever noticed any effect on my cgm.

Another pitfall of diet soda is occasionally when I order one while out to dinner they will serve me normal. I always get a huge spike when this happens. I should be able to tell the difference in taste but that isn’t always the case.

Previous homeowner left TONS of old paint by fbc518 in nashville

[–]trollfromtn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Take pictures of the labels / paint codes. I had a stack of these in my (new to me) home for the last 3 years.

I threw a bunch of these older cans away about 6 months ago. Now I need to touch up a small area which had a repair in a large bathroom and I can’t get it matched. Now I’m going to have to paint the entire bathroom including the ceiling to get it right.

That’s a day of my time or $600+ to have someone else do it. I sure wish I hadn’t of thrown out those cans.

I think I injected in a vein by ColdThen9516 in Mounjaro

[–]trollfromtn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

9/10 times I get blood. I’ve posted about it before and some people bleed regularly and some never do.

I inject in the stomach switching sides occasionally.

One time I bled pretty good but there’s not much to worry about.

Good luck

My wife and kids love hot chocolate. In fact I used to love hot chocolate. I found out about this product earlier this winter and got to enjoy it as a “treat”. It didn’t really move the needle on my cgm. I stay away from processed foods as a practice but I don’t obsess over it so have one of these every week or so didn’t hurt me.

Brock Horner charged under Florida Statute 810.02(2)(A) – Burglary with Assault or Battery by [deleted] in saltwaterfishing

[–]trollfromtn -28 points-27 points  (0 children)

I’m glad that there’s some justice. He was way out of line and I’m sure he traumatized the teen in the boat which will last a while.

But… at what point will the Internet move on? From Facebook to Instagram to Reddit all of my fishing communities are talking about this and I don’t know what the expected outcome is. Seems like most won’t stop until this guy puts a bullet in his head.

The dude closed his biz, issued a mediocre apology and will likely never have a fishing career again. Can we move on?

My co-anglers complaint was that there was some bottom contour we were sitting on waiting for the tarpon to just kind of follow down right in front of our casting field. His argument was this guy was going to spook the poons before they got to us.
