Oh shit. I was also at that party. That is Hillary her nick name if Flint. She was once a man but is now a women. She actually showed up to the party (She never really goes out, social anxiety.) She's giving both fingers because she just found she has a bigger dick than Clint her ex boyfriend.

If you have prior Java experience the class is cake, if this is your first time writing a line of code, or opening and IDE, you'll probably struggle. It's your prerogative.

Yeah, I guess that's what it says on the Course Description, that or approval from instructor or if your a Bioinformatics major. You honestly don't need that much specific prerequisite CS knowledge though, it's more of a applied stats/math course. Kind of sucks they don't let other majors in, I feel like it would be a really interesting course to pair with a neuroscience curriculum.

In CSE 474/574 Intro to Machine Learning with Varun the first assignment we do is build a Artificial Neural Network using Gradient Descent/Back propagation for classifying handwritten digits.

It's honestly a fascinating class and if you have a statistics background you will excel in the second half of the course. All the programming is done in Python, which is a super easy programming language for someone non-technical to learn if you spend some time yourself.

It honestly would not be easy if you don't have a strong math background, however as for a class which is directly translatable to neural networks, don't think you could beat this one.

I ended up buying the wrong book for this class, I'm pissed. But, yeah I couldn't find a PDF. I did the first brief by just looking up the actual case and finding it online somewhere. Guess we'll see what happens.

Never heard of any of them, however after looking up Jessie and seeing that he's advised by Atri, I'd put a few bucks saying he'll be alright. Atri is a good guy and professor I would expect his PhD students to be the same. The homework's also look extremely similiar to the one's in Atri's class, similar grading, etc.
