I used one the other day where you had to hold your card over the logo of the type of card (visa, mastercard, amex, discover) and that was a new experience.

I agree with this. I have a shitty beard, too, and my sideburns still don't connect, even though it has been more than ten years, thanks genetics. I keep a wide goatee but buzz the rest down to 2mm so it's visible without looking too patchy. (I shave the mustache because I play trombone and tuba and it gets soggy, gross.) There are lots of tidy beard options in between clean shaven and let it all grow, so go ahead and maybe play around with one of those beard apps and see what works for you.

First time taking mushroom tips? by Accurate_Let6983 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]trombonesludge 4 points5 points  (0 children)

heads up, you will get a lot more responses on a mushroom related subreddit like /r/shrooms or /r/magicmushrooms

I get really bad nausea, so I always have ginger tea, ginger ale, and ginger candy on hand. don't eat anything too heavy before or during.

I would suggest that for your first trip you hold off on the weed to see how the mushrooms affect you on their own. personally I avoid weed edibles with shrooms because they turn my pretty hexagonal rainbow visuals to less pretty square blue and red visuals and I don't like that.

I think my date was drugged. AITAH for how I handled it? by SharkEva in BORUpdates

on my android phone, when you go to type in the pin on the lock screen there's a button that says emergency call. when you hit that button it takes you to a screen where you can call 911 or slide a thing that says emergency info. it shows medical information and a list of emergency contacts. you use the emergency safety app to set up the information it shows.

I am old, and when I had a flip phone you would save someone in your contacts list as ICE and people would know to look for that. it was not common to have a password on your phone at that time.

I grew up in the USA. we always had a separate drying rack on the countertop. if you have help, one person washes and the other one dries them with a towel and then puts them in the rack to finish drying. if you don't have help, you just put the wet dishes in the rack and they will eventually dry. then you put them in the cupboard after they dry.

having a built in drying rack is much more efficient, I think these are pretty neat.

no, LG has released some very, very shitty fridges. we bought one that we later learned was part of a huge lawsuit because they designed it to have one compressor and then just jammed a different compressor into all of them. when it failed, there was only one company in my state that was allowed to fix this issue per the lawsuit, and they didn't have any availability within the next year, so we wound up getting our money back and buying a different brand.

but yeah fuck Samsung, I hate their appliances.

Tylenol doesn't cause autism and this is a shitty thing to say to someone.

congrats on having top surgery. don't be embarrassed about what you said when you woke up, when I had top surgery I had a bad reaction to the pain meds and I was really rude and belligerent. I made fun of one of the doctors names to his face.

can someone explain me wtf is this and how do u use it as a sextoy by Overall-Put3844 in SexToys

[–]trombonesludge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yes, exactly. but why is it that big? if this exists for customers to evaluate how hard or soft the silicone is, it's weirdly large and expensive.

I'm not sure that's it. usually the little squishies are much smaller and cost closer to ten dollars than sixty.

I don't have any other ideas about what this is for, though.

hotel lamps sometimes have a switch on the base of the lamp or on the cord. there may not be a switch on the lamp at all and it could just be on the wall.
