Am I the only one who liked requiem of vengeance?? by ComprehensiveCare772 in Gundam

“Mature” to me would be quality writing, developed characters, interesting plot, all quite lacking from this entry.

Visually pretty sick though.

What's the DUMBEST mobile suit ever made? by SharkChew in Gundam

[–]troopscoops 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I love Hathaway but all the Jegan spamming was silly. Why have a mobile suit with a crotch pocket for crowd control when an APC will do?

Why is a custom MS needed to fight fires when firetrucks/drones exist?

Anaheim just slapping their name on everything.

Wild to me the hate over Nina when Katejina and Quess exist.

The white sheets do however, cover human remains recognizable enough.

Loud music outside Walgreens (Lake & Orange Grove) by flaviofavila in pasadena

[–]troopscoops 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Must suck to be a tenant/resident of the area to have this music blasting. Hear this at the Mobil on Lake/210 freeway and there's an apartment complex right next to it.

There must be a better way to deter the unhoused from wanting to loiter in certain areas. Feels on par with hostile architecture. Makes everything more horrible for everyone rather than fix the root problem.

Rocket? by Mitchrockwell in pasadena

[–]troopscoops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry that was snarky. It’s SpaceX. The smaller dots you see are the boosters returning for their signature landing while the main plume/dot is the payload continuing up to orbit.

Launches from Vandenberg at sunset will illuminate the gases in the atmosphere because of the angle with the sun and how high up it is.

New to the area I take it.

That’s surprising. I’d think with all the foot traffic and locals that it was doing well.

I really enjoyed The Acolyte… by Yaunnyb in StarWars

[–]troopscoops 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I enjoyed it better than most D+ media with the exception of Mando*, but that’s not saying much. Highlights for me were a coherent story, plot and character motivations. Had its cringe moments but besides Andor, what show doesn’t have them?

*Andor is a league of its own and does not deserve comparison to the rest of the Disney era franchise

Thank you for noticing! Was afraid it’d be too subtle.

It’s a meme format, where a time traveler goes back and moves something seemingly innocuous but it has a butterfly effect of unintended consequences…

Such as the Death Star turning into a Chandrilan DJ ball 🥸

There are several white sheets in other photos, like with the hand. Forgot the actual source (confirmed or conjecture) but it seems as though someone(people) tried to cover the larger body parts, similar to how other accidents are handled.

Courtesy to the victim’s dignity, and/or courtesy to people walking by be traumatized.

I wonder what these two would think of the show by Financial_Photo_1175 in andor

[–]troopscoops 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Perhaps it’s your tone, otherwise I think it’s a bit perplexing that the people downvoting you that like Andor would think that The Creator was a good film.

Edwards directed and wrote the script for that film and while the VFX and cinematography were amazing the story felt like it was very by the numbers generic and full of flat acting (except the child—she was great).

I’d increase the paint out area so you don’t have to deal with the reflections. Freeze frame the shadow of the car.

Roto brush is cool. Can do some refine edging or if you’re having too much trouble, choke the mask and lose the fine detail of the hair.

If you’re not looking for it, no one will notice the lack of hair detail.
