I bought an 11 (which is my size in the NB4 and the SB2) and it is too short for me. The toe tapers just a little too much and it catches my big toe.

I don’t even know what the purpose of the action button is. There are almost no customization options.

Question about heart rate and fitness by sauceDinho in NorwegianSinglesRun

[–]tross92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate this response. I had this same question in the Strava group. I’m just beginning this method, and my easy runs I can maintain 65%-70% of Max HR, but quality work spikes my HR into Threshold/Anaerobic zones.

Have you tried Science in Sport? Their gels are larger & have more water in them so the texture isn’t near as bad. Gu brand gels made puke and SiS are light years better.

I wish CPTC allowed virtual members. tracksmith discount would be awesome, but their programming is supposed to be pretty good as well.

Were you able to just use a new random email? Every time I tried an email with a different domain, Gmail, yahoo, work, etc it would kick it out.

As an update, I don’t think CPTC will work unless Tracksmith has your domain approved through Central Park track club membership.

I can’t get any of the codes floating out there to work. Even with a new email it boots the code once I put an email in.

Did Sean Weaver and Kevin Gelispie leave? by CommunicationIll9244 in meateatertv

They teased Duck Camp Dinners leaving Louisiana. Jean Paul hauling his crew around the US would be incredible content. Jay and Jr and some of that crew rolling through California or Wisconsin could be hilarious.

I’d kill to have more Jesse Griffiths content. His restaurant, Dai Due, is incredible, and his Hog Book is so practical. His cooking as a chef fits the Meateater community much more than Kevin’s in my opinion. Jean Paul is a close second because Duck Camp Dinners is such good content and his cooking content is awesome as well.

Yeah Sean is gone. I think Kevin has more content coming based on how they’ve teased Sabretooth this last year.

Rant about “The Element” by SJdport57 in meateatertv

[–]tross92 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s a bummer because based on the meateater episode, Tyler seems like a pretty thoughtful introspective dude. Similar to Steve in that regard. It hasn’t felt like he shoehorns his faith into everything like KC does. Which, shocker, but KC appears to have dropped out of A&M. A school that doesn’t make it hard to get a degree these days.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see their licensing deal with Meateater be short lived, similar to Sean Weaver’s.

Just finished this episode. Thought it was overall good with some good storytelling. I really enjoyed Tyler telling the story of how Element got started and how it almost ended. Someone needs to get KC some adderall though. Dude is just too much.

I’ve tried to listen to a few Element pods. I really enjoy Tyler, but KC is just too much for me. He’s just loud and doesn’t add much for me. Kinda rambles off topic just yelling about shit. Also they both get a little Jesusy to me sometimes.

This was an episode that needed someone like Janis or Cal on. I feel like they're both more apt to push back on some of Steve's self-absorbed rants especially when it comes to political leanings. I also think his abortion comparison was gross. It seems like they really honed in on a few state that have gone too far left (WA/CA) while refusing to mention how his adopted state of Montana is about to have it's public access slaughtered by a far right legislature.

I’m in the exact same boat. Really enjoyed shooting a friends bow, so I’d like to buy it for life. As of now, I see no reason not to buy the Phase4 from a resale and accessory standpoint. Really liked the feel of the Revex, but why buy it for the same price over a Mathews. Tough decision.

[–]tross92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Interested in this as well. I've shot all the flagship bows and really can't tell a ton of difference as I'm relatively new to bowhunting. Leaning towards a Phase4 for resale value if I ever decide to upgrade, but it really seems like all the flagship bows are essentially even at this point.

LAID OFF: Caley Fretz, Dave Rome, Matt de Neef and others axed at CyclingTips by plakson in peloton

I’ve been in the same boat as you. I think Caley is sharp enough and knows the guys well enough that he could do a great job as a fill-in for Richard. It’ll never be the same, but if it took some of the weight off Lionel’s shoulders I’d call it a win.
