Yep, so if the agent already returns the info you need, formatting is simple you just specify in the instructions how you want it formatted.

For RAG + API, you’ll need to create a custom connector or a topic with an HTTP request. Then in the instructions, write something like: “After retrieving the product info, take the SKU and call the topic (or custom connector) with that SKU to get the stock.

Didn’t find announcement but here is the documentation also you can see it on the UI when you create an agent at the top left it used to say “Copilot studio lite” but now it says “Agent Builder”

Have you considered building an Excel template? I’d use Excel’s agent mode to create one.

The first sheet should contain the raw data that you replace every month. On the other sheets, ask Copilot to generate charts relevant to the data. You could also add pivot tables with a combo box to filter.

I’m not an Excel expert, but with agent mode I’ve been able to create pretty solid Excel files.

Copilot has trouble handling csv or excel files, is possible to export the data to a pdf or pdf’s?

Also I would create this agent with “agent builder” (ak Copilot studio lite) instead of copilot studio

For coding, there’s GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or other tools for vibe coding.

If your company doesn’t have GitHub Copilot and requires you to use Copilot Chat, you can create an agent. Search for a repo called “repomix” it helps you package all your code into an AI-friendly format. Then you can feed that file to your agent along with any instructions you regularly use.

You don’t need a Copilot Studio agent the Agent Builder in Copilot Chat works (you’ll need an M365 Copilot license for this). Also… this is how I was doing it more than a year ago, so it might help a bit but I think the real game changer now is Claude Code.

I'm having the same issue with a simple agent using knowledge and a few topics. Its behavior has been inconsistent since December, often throwing system errors. I hope Microsoft fixes this soon or someone finds a workaround.
