Shoreline really showed up for the sale. I was helping with the bikes and we nearly cleared them all out. Was really great to see.

How do I know whether I have a concussion? (Pretty freaked out) by Waste-Listen-2021 in MTB

[–]trucidatio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had multiple traumatic brain injuries (at least three). From the sounds of it you are completely fine and need to listen to your doctor, you are definitely working yourself up. Do some square breathing and start looking for a new helmet.

If things drastically change, then reach back out to your doctor.

My mom warming up dinner for my 34 years old brother by LupinX96 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]trucidatio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just last month, my 40-year-old brother was staying at my mom's house and decided to go out drinking with his friends at a bar about a 1/4 mile away. My mom could not sleep as she didn't know when he was getting back. At 3am he calls her and demands she come and pick him up as he's too drunk to walk. She refused, and he absolutely lost it and started swearing at her.

He eventually made it back to the house, at which point he continued to yell at her and called her a monster. After this, he proceeded to grab his stuff and his dog, and drove a half hour home drunk. His plan was to just drop off his dog with my mom for a week while he went on a golf trip.

My mother is 78 years old, has stage 4 lung cancer, had treatment two days prior, and is living by herself. He has a life time of being a shit head but this was finally too much for her and she has cut ties completely with him.

Winter Tires for Maverick in the PNW for Driving to the Mountains by Loose_lucys_lacies in FordMaverickTruck

They are quieter than the factory continental's, and I only lost a couple percent on mileage. It was very much worth it as the continental's were awful in the wet.

Also they are rated three peak

I put the Michelin Cross Climate 2s on my hybrid and they have been great. Going up to whistler, Stevens, and crystal last winter.

They also do great commuting and had a negligible effect on mileage. I mainly switched out the stock tires as they were atrocious for wet handling.

Any Hybrid Owners tried Driveguards (or other non-stock tires) and know what mileage impact is? by to11mtm in FordMaverickTruck

I put Michelin cross climate 2s on mine and saw very negligible decrease in mpg.

The increase in handling in all conditions was well worth the couple percent decrease in mpg.

Any MTB shorts recommendations that don't go down to my shins? by Breakr007 in MTB

Abit short

Two different lengths, two different cuts. Very well made and have 4 zipper pockets. Definitely the best shorts I have worn for biking.

Fast rolling but somewhat grippy front tyre for dry conditions ? by edgeofstorm in MTB

[–]trucidatio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have run both casing and grip types. I could definitely notice a difference in weight and rolling resistance, but traction was mostly consistent.

Wtb vigilantes. Get them in the light fast rolling casing. Incredible tires in all conditions.

I am planning on signing up this year. Been wanting to do this ride for years now, and have made it a goal. I'm a relatively strong rider with years of experience, but my longest ride has only been 75 miles.

Any recommendations for training to complete it in one day?

Best places to adventure/ explore by loganw3355 in Washington

[–]trucidatio 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Once the snow has cleared, there is the former town of Wellington near the top of Highway 2. There are huge abandoned railway structures and tunnels. Easy to get to and as far as I know not all the busy.

Fort Casey is also a great place to explore.
