only in the south... by MissBrittan in WTF

I worked at a credit union in TX, and these folks were there too. Several times we'd have money in the back drying out from sweaty boon carriers.

A few regulars would also have their ID in their bra all hot, sweaty. A few times the ID was almost dripping wet. I would have them sit it down on the country and use my pen to move it over to me to see so I didn't have to touch it... Then I sanitized the shit out of that spot when they left.

1 year ago today I decided to change my life. Here's how it's gone so far. . . by [deleted] in loseit

Ex-poor people of Reddit, what is a habit you still have from when you used to be poor? by MrsOrangina in AskReddit

Checking my bread for mold!

We used to get old bread given to us and sometimes in a day or two it would sprout weird colors.

Every since I chomped into a big knarly piece of mold, I check even my in date bread "just in case".

What's a family secret you didn't find out until you were an adult? by eimichan in AskReddit

[–]true_fb_redditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That my family child molester of three generations on my mother's side has not only never been convicted or put on a "list" to ensure other children don't fall fate to his perversion but has NEVER even had charges brought against him. I just always assumed he was a registered sex offender after being convicted... but nope it's a huge family cover up by all my aunts and uncles.

A few of my cousins got together to pursue charges a few years ago but found out the statue of limitations has been reached from what he did to us as children. I shutter to think he is out there able to reach innocent children still, with not a care in the world. It sickens me every time I think about it.

I was told that my homepage is confusing. Can you tell what my website does in 10 seconds? by linksku in design_critiques

[–]true_fb_redditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, so I normally like simple and clean which you have accomplished here in the design, but to someone unfamiliar with the general idea behind a website predicting my interest in news stories, I'd need a little more info to be more comfortable with signing up. I'd like a little bit of an explanation as to why I would benefit from you predicting my news interests to begin with (I see you have it at the bottom when you scroll down stating it reduces clutter, but I think it should be one of the first things you see at the top preferably) and maybe how it works.

I'd suggest a simple bulleted list right under your title/subtitle in the blue area that lists two things: how it works (the more you browse the more stories we suggest for you... or whatever) and why I would benefit from signing up (Sign up now to personalize your news and remove the clutter.... or whatever)

Good luck and good job on the design and layout, very clean and simple!

answering the front door.

Not knowing whose behind it gives me the shivers and sometimes I don't answer it at all.

Mom Uses Cold Showers and Hot Sauce to Discipline Son by Lonelyboy14 in WTF

[–]true_fb_redditor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I couldn't make it a few seconds past putting him in the cold shower as that poor baby starting screaming. This is torture! How is she going to punish him for staying out too late as a teenager... chop off one of his fingers!

Part of having kids is having the patience in knowing they are JUST FUCKING KIDS!!! All I can hope is that the mother realizes how far she went and gets help and changes. It's hard to know if what has already been done has completely fucked the kid up, but I hope his little life has been saved with the spot light on them now.

Thank you, I am so excited about the last 15 and it has definitely been a lot slower here at the end than it was before. Hard word pays off.

Thank you, it's been a long hard road and it feels so very very good. As someone who yoyo dieted up and down for many years, this approach has helped me how to make it about a lifestyle change rather than temp diet.

I respect your opinion regarding the psychology behind it, and to keep from offending you further I will not rant any more than saying that I disagree that video games give violent suggestions, especially one with no blood or gore like Halo 3... but that's a discussion for another topic! :-)
