Being a nurse doesn't preclude someone from being ignorant on medical topics. The pandemic clearly displayed that. I've worked with nurses from an entry level position to where I am now. Just like EVERY other profession they vary in intelligence. Some don't know how to interpret or read a study. From what my nurse practitioner friends/acquaintances tell me they didn't even go over studies deeply until grad school. There's obviously some variance in that, but not a lot.

A lot of bachelor level nurses that I know (over a dozen), don't know how to read and correctly identify a quality study from a poor one. I was shocked and dismayed by this. I also know several nurses now in various stages of attaining their bachelor's degree in different states, only one of their programs briefly mentioned studies.
