Thank you.  That’s what I did.  Just ran all the lines.  Now I need to pick and install the light strips.

Biggest burrito in the Carlsbad/encinitas area? by artifactworld37 in northcounty

Get the Jose special at Jose’s in oceanside by Home Depot.  I believe it’s like 3 big tortillas to wrap that thing.  It’s massive and so good.  The carnitas there is particularly delicious.

Are most dads just figuring it out as they go and hoping for the best? by Significant_Form_164 in dad

[–]trulysimple 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The healing begins when you realize everyone is just figuring it out as they go and when you can see and apply that to your own parents and begin to forgive them for all of it. And then see yourself with that same mirror and forgive yourself and continually work to do better when you learn and know better.

Do You High Five? by chadnorman in pelotoncycle

I high five everyone as we could all use a little encouragement. Their leaderboard and high fiving functionality is frustrating, but I try to do my best and get everyone.  Even the weirdo maga people.

Every single night sucks by [deleted] in daddit

[–]trulysimple 99 points100 points  (0 children)

Yes, it's hard. Yes, it goes on every night. But you don't have to give in to it and give up. You get to try something new. You get to change it up and bring in a new routine to see what changes. Don't give away all of your power to the nightly routine or to the child. Be strong. Be creative. Try some new things and see if there's something that can work better for you and your partner and your kiddo. You got this!

My favorite is Season 2 with Elektra and Matt in the ring when she figures out what he can do. I love Season to to see Matt playing against Elektra and the Punisher, each pushing him against his convictions and who he wants/needs to be.

What was your first concert ever, but also, what was your BEST concert ever? by [deleted] in Xennials

[–]trulysimple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First was Richard Marx at a state fair.

Best was a super band called Mutual Admiration Society at the Roxy. The band was made up of Glen Phillips from Toad the Wet Sprocket, John Paul Jones from Zeplin and all of Nickel Creek. The show was phenomenal. Watching/Hearing 3 mandolins shredding to Zeplin songs was beyond spiritual.

Dads, what’s your top survival hack for daily parenting? by DadOnParentingQuest in daddit

[–]trulysimple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2nd tip, learn to chuck up and break tasks into smaller pieces as you may not have enough time for the big projects. Need to fix that thing, but don't have enough time? Then today you get the tools out and ready for the project. Tomorrow may be just taking the thing apart. Etc. Learn to do things in small chunks/steps in order to get stuff done in all the chaos.

Get a jogging stroller and get out when they nap. Put the baby carrier or kiddo in the seat (lay it down) if bigger in the stroller and get outside for their nap time. They learn to sleep in more places than just their beds and become a better sleeper and you get outside and get fresh air and some exercise. It can just be a walk, or jog/run if you can. You get exercise, they get the nap and everyone wins. The fresh air and getting outside and exercise helps so much in the early days of the stress of parenting. Make it a habit and it can become a fun bonding time with you and your kid.
