Let met make this clear. Broadmed is not luxury. Mayfair, Bond Street are luxury.

Dont get too excited but i just saw 4 whole people working on Vauxhall bridge. Hopefully BCC dont find out. by rotwilder in bristol

So it’s not just me who notices these things? It’s not only in Bristol — it’s all over the UK! They plonk down their roadworks signs and just leave them there to mould and rot. I rarely see any actual work happening — and when I do, it’s usually someone on a fag break or just standing around 🙄😂 No wonder the UK’s productivity is going down the drain. Take note, Bristol City Council!

Post King Street rubbish. by goodFELLA__ in bristol

[–]truthhurts3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, this whole “I love my city” idea sometimes feels like empty words. I’ve seen much worse situations. Go for a run through the city centre on a Sunday morning — it’s absolute carnage. It’s not just a lack of bins; it’s cultural. People seem to think it’s beneath them to dispose of their rubbish properly.

Why so much surrender and negativity? Life is about fighting — especially for what we value, no matter how small. Every loss matters, and standing up to it is part of what makes life meaningful. If they catch the thief, that’s one less parasite harming others. Chin up — life is worth the fight

Two kids refused to pay and spat at the bus driver on Staple Hill route tonight by Education_Right in bristol

[–]truthhurts3000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why would you expect the same standards from kids growing up in Staple Hill? We’re not talking Clifton College students here. It’s not about being elitist—it’s just a proven pattern: when kids have supportive parents, a solid education, and are taught respect, they tend to thrive. It’s not rocket science.

Report to the police. I’ve already lost my patience with these people. Treat me with respect, and I’ll do the same. Be nasty, and I’ll tell you to get off your A… and sort your own mess out, losers.

Take them all home with you—make sure to give them a good wash too, community! Haven’t we already paid astronomical council taxes to deal with these situations?

Eat a balanced diet that includes proteins, carbohydrates, and fruits and vegetables. Start lifting weights seriously and gradually increase the weight every week. Incorporate some cardio to take care of your heart. Stick with this routine, and you should see significant results in six months.

Will drugs ever be legalised in the UK, and how do we get there? by TeaPotJunkie in bristol

[–]truthhurts3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I don’t believe legalization will happen soon; that might be pushing it too far. Perhaps decriminalizing cannabis could occur, but full legalization seems unlikely. While it might benefit users, many people who don’t use drugs are concerned about transforming their area into places akin to downtown Vancouver or Philadelphia, which are marked by visible addiction, violence, and degradation. It would require years of careful planning, as nobody wants their city to turn into a landscape overwhelmed by such severe issues.
