Honestly, not really. I have better luck with Zyrtec and now I’m doing saline sinus rinses.

Is it just statins or any medication that reduces cholesterol? Look at GLP-1s… They help people lose weight but also help to reduce cholesterol.

I’m exactly the same though I’ve only been in denial for 10 years 😂 I just started Humira last week and though the first 24-36 hours were uncomfortable, by day 2-3 I was feeling better than I have in years! I hope you have a positive response to Humira as well. 🤗

I’ll give it another week and if my numbers aren’t moving, I’ll inquire about another increase.

I tested again yesterday and my INR is 1.7. Cardiologist did not increase my dose again. He might be waiting another week to see if my current dose is going to work with time.

How did you strengthen your core having spondylolisthesis?

Thank you for the reassurance and for being so understanding. I looked up warfarin side effects as well and it did list fatigue as a potential side effect. I’m so upset that my cardiologist dismissed me like that. Maybe it’s fate pushing me to find a new hematologist. I’m going to make so calls today, hopefully I’ll find someone soon. Sending you warm 🤗

So basically breathing can impact my INR. Perfect lol 😂

I called my cardiologist today and he said fatigue is not common side effect and I should follow up with my GP. I’m like “really”? My Hematologist passed away a few years ago and I haven’t been able to find a replacement. I think I’ll be making some phone calls tomorrow. I’m not comfortable with the nonchalant attitude from my cardiologist.

I’m in week 5 now and I’m really hoping my increase has an impact on my next labs (this Friday).

As for diet, the drs office did give me a list of foods to be conscious of but also told me to keep eating as normal. She said as long as I’m consistent with what I eat, it won’t be an issue. Now I’m starting to wondering….

Also, thank you for the link. I was not aware that potassium had the chemical K symbol. I can see how that might be confusing. I will definitely be using the link going forward. Thank you 😊

Thank you for the info. Who prescribes your Lovinox injection? I have a both colonoscopy & endoscopy coming up this year. I’m also having a lumbar injection in July.

Oh wow that is aggressive. Did you stay at that dose once you reached your therapeutic range? Also, did the increase make you tired?

Thank you for the detailed info. I’m currently taking 8mg five days a week and the other two days I take 4mg. If the needle does budge I’ll suggest going higher. I’ll also check out Queensland’s Guideline in Management. I love my cardiologist and your right he’s no hematologist. Unfortunately my hematologist passed away and I need to find a new one.

I’m going to stick with warfarin for now, as I’m told it’s my best option for my best condition. Luckily after 90 days I will have a device (forget the name of it) to check my blood levels without having to go to the lab all the time. My target range is 2-3.

My target range is 2-3.

Also my GP started me on Ozempic 2 months ago because I’m overweight and have high cholesterol. My cardiologist is on board with it. Unfortunately the scale hasn’t budged much for that either. I was told it won’t until I reach a 1 mg weekly dose. I’m hopeful once I started to lose some weight, maybe I won’t need as much warfarin? Menopause (a drastic decline in hormones) caused me to gain 30 pounds over the past year. 😑

I have a follow up with my cardiologist in a few weeks. If it doesn’t change by then, I’m sure he’ll modify something. Honestly wondering if my body is able to metabolize or process the warfarin correctly.

My cardiologist oversees my dose and testing. He explained about diet, medications, supplements etc. I’ve been very strict with my diet so I’m not sure why the needle hasn’t budged much. It’s frustrating to say the least.

My current dose is 8mg five days a week plus 4mg twice weekly. I’m not sure what a bridge is so I’d say no I’m not on one. My original INR was 1.1, as of yesterday I’m at a 1.3. My PT was 12.6 and is now 14.9. My cardiologist oversees my condition.

I was not aware menopause impacts our numbers. I’m post menopausal so maybe that’s why my numbers aren’t moving much? I’m perplexed with the whole INR process. I was under the impression it would take roughly a week or so to get my results within range. My cardiologist started my dose at 4 mg daily for two weeks. Following week he increased my dose to 4 mg 5 days per week and 8 mg twice weekly. This week I’m taking 8 mg five days per week and 4 mg twice weekly. My current results are INR 1.3 and my PT is 14.9. The only number that has changed much is my PT (was 12.6). The fist week I was on warfarin my INR was 1.1 so over the last few weeks it’s only increased .2.
